Thank you for the info Longrangeshootr.. Could you please provide me the phone number you called? In the case I am the applicant, do I also need my husband present when I call? Do you know if I can call even though I have a lawyer? Or the lawyer needs to make the call? Thank you!

1-800-375-5283, You can file the service request yourself since you are the applicant. You will need your MSC receipt number, and USCIS alien number you should have these available from your I-797C.

Ah I feel the same really. Although VERY jealous, I'm really happy for everyone that has theirs, just praying that means that I'm one person closer now!

Fingers crossed for both of us! I have a really good job prospect lined up, so I'd love to hear something soon!

10/08/2015: AOS packet sent to USCIS (Chicago lockbox) via USPS Priority mail (They received it 10/10/15).

10/16/2015: Text/eEmails received from USCIS with receipt number. We received 3.

10/22/2015: Received hard copies of NOA's for I-131, I-765, & I-485.

11/01/2015: Got NOA for biometrics appt (for 11/12/15).

11/03/2015: Did WALK IN biometrics appt - took 15 mins. Person taking said work permit should be in mail in less than 4 wks.

12/09/2015: Got email/text notification for INTERVIEW date.

12/28/2015: Got email/text notification EAD card has been mailed.

12/31/2015: Received EAD/AP card.

01/11/2016: INTERVIEW (in Los Angeles office).

01/11/2016: Case in in "CONTINUANCE". Awaiting approval. (Feels like AP).

06/27/2016: I-485 APPROVED - (FINALLY!!!) / 264 DAYS (8 MONTHS 20 DAYS)

07/01/2016: GREEN CARD RECEIVED

So, I sent an inquiry on the status of my EAD as it will hit the 75 day mark on or about the 13th of this month. My inquiry was completed the day after I submitted it. Received a letter in the mail today-2 actually. One says that my case is in suspension as a biometric is needed. The other is my biometric letter with a 01/12/16 date. I had submitted an inquiry on the biometric a week before that and the response said that my case was in the pre-processing stage with no definite timeline. As another VJ member suggested, submit inquiries on your case and it forces an IO to pick it up and work on it. Good luck to everyone.

Wahooooooo EAD/AP got approved 31st! Hopefully you all hear something this morning too! Even with my RFE it didn't get slowed down!

Bummed I wasn't someone to skip the line for interviews, but happy I can very soon start working!

Good luck to those still waiting, looks like they will start getting a move on!

actually since that post my luck kinda went insane. checked my uscis numbers and one day it said my i-485was approved. without interview

so keep on hoping dude

Finally got my EAD approved! So I'm chuffed. No GC like you though....but at least I can start working now! Good luck in the future!
