we didn't include the NOA2 because she took it with her to the consulate for her K1 interview and they kept it but we did include about 15 pieces of paper including emails from the consulate and USCIS which showed her name and the fact that her K1 had been approved.

We sent our packet on 10/08/15. They received it Saturday, 10/10/15 (according to tracking information).

Our AOS journey begins!! Good luck all and I wish everyone a speedy AOS!!

Our time lines are very similar. I sent AOS on October 15th and got NOA dated October 19th. Then I got biometrics appointment for November 18th which I did and went well. Right now I keep checking but no update online or via text. Have you received any updates yet?

Did one of those pieces of paper include the K1 visa from her passport? If it did then I am not sure why they would need to have the NOA2 from the K1. If you are close by a USCIS office maybe they can get you a copy of the NOA2 or request one online.

It costs a lot of money to get a copy of the I-797 so we sent other proof of approved K1 visa.

What they're asking is for proof that Adriana (maiden name) is the same person as Adriana (married name)

I would think showing the passport issue number on her J1 visa (in maiden name), the same passport number on her K1visa (Maiden name) and passport number on her marriage certificate showing change of name from maiden to married name should be proof enough!!!

Yes, an I-824 is very expensive. I would make an Infopass appointment and see if there is anything that they can do for you there that will satisfy what they are looking for. Maybe by explaining what happened during the interview they might be willing to help.

Goodluck!:) mine has still no update, since I filed I don't know what happen. Some October filers received there approvals already in less than 60 days or more than that. Hopefully mine soon. Cross fingers!:-) just always be positive.

Yesterday in the mail we got a Request for Initial Evidence (pink letter) about a doc we sent. :sleepy:

We sent the W2 version of the taxes (my husband is in the military) as for my I-129F and I-134 but this time they wanted the full version...

We already mailed the full version EXPRESS..

Hopefully our case will be updated soon!

yeah i got a request for supporting evidence too last month. I sent in the W2, 2014 return (state and fed), schedule A forms as requested. I guess they really want to confirm our financial info.

At least it looks like they have gotten to Oct apps now. EAD is now on Oct 1, AP on Oct 2. Hopefully we hear some approvals soon! :)

We had sent with AOS package 3 years of taxes and up-to-date paychecks.

The only thing they required for us was a copy of the FULL VERSION of 2014 TAXES. :dead:

Hope they get it fast and they don't slow our application down. :thumbs:

I don't want to find myself here dealing with all this and him on deployment. :cry:

We got the text/email notification for the interview today, but still no EAD or AP approvals. :(

Our lovely journey!!

10/08/2015: AOS packet sent to USCIS (Chicago lockbox) via USPS Priority mail (They received it 10/10/15).

10/16/2015: Text/eEmails received from USCIS with receipt number. We received 3.

10/22/2015: Received hard copies of NOA's for I-131, I-765, & I-485.

11/01/2015: Got NOA for biometrics appt (for 11/12/15).

11/03/2015: Did WALK IN biometrics appt - took 15 mins. Person taking said work permit should be in mail in less than 4 wks.

12/09/2015: Got email/text notification for INTERVIEW date.

12/28/2015: Got email/text notification EAD card has been mailed.

12/31/2015: Received EAD/AP card.

01/11/2016: INTERVIEW (in Los Angeles office).

01/11/2016: Case in in "CONTINUANCE". Awaiting approval. (Feels like AP).

06/27/2016: I-485 APPROVED - (FINALLY!!!) / 264 DAYS (8 MONTHS 20 DAYS)

07/01/2016: GREEN CARD RECEIVED
