Question: does USCIS retain the PD from the I130? If yes, does this mean that the AOS will be processed based on if the date is current at your local office? My PD is 12/31/2014 and my local office is Baltimore. Baltimore is currently processing cases on or before 12/26/2014.

Chejemmie Timeline:
7/31/2013 - Moved to US on F1 visa
4/16/2014 - Married LPR; in relationship for 12yrs
12/30/2014 - Applied for F2A visa on I-130 (Vermont)
12/31/2014 - PD
1/5/2015 - NOA1 received
8/27/2015 - Case transferred to California
9/22/2015 - Petition approved (NOA2) Case send to NVC
10/22/2015 - Filed AOS application at Chicago Lockbox.
10/27/2015 - Case received by NVC
11/2/2015 - Received welcome letter.<p>
11/4/2015 - Received receipt notice for I-485 and EAD via text and email
12/07/15 - inquiry on status of biometric
12/21/15 - response via mail that case in pre-processing stage
12/28/15 - inquiry on status of EAD
12/29/15 - response via mail; in suspension until bio is done. Also received bio appointment for 01/12/16.

Hi guys,

Stupid question: I sent all my paperwork to the Chicago Lockbox for the I-485 and I-765. Everything was received and is being processed and I've had my biometrics appointment. My question is - does the Chicago Lockbox send the paperwork to another field office? I live in California, so I'm not sure which timelines to be checking. Some people have updated according to their location, but I didn't see an option to send the paperwork to a local field office.

I apologise in advance if this has been answered before...

Thanks for your help!

d

Once the status at USCIS says ready for interview it is sent to the local field office. At that time you are put in the field office queue for processing. Some field offices process quickly and some take longer. Our office here in Portland is averaging 6 months from the day you filed before an interview is scheduled.

Hope this helps.

Put your receipt number into the USCIS site and it will show you the current status of your application. Or you can set it up to email/text you when there are status updates

I just saw this update on the USCIS app for my i-485 as well but hadnt't received an email/text/ or any other paperwork. My applications were received 09/29/15.

Have you heard anything about AP if you've applied?

10/05 usps mail delivered
10/14 checks cashed
10/19 got 3 NOA for 485, 131 and 765 under my name and the NOA for 130 under my husband's name. It says in all the notices that our applications were received on 10/6 and the notice date is 10/13.
10/23 received biometric appointment for 11/5 at USCIS Chatsworth, CA
10/28 I tried walk in and they let me do biometrics at uscis Chatsworth, CA ☺..
I'm kinda nervous though because some of my fingers are deformed and the man who did my fingerprints was having a hard time getting the fingerprints right. Just praying that they go through ok and that I don't have to go back again. ?

11/02 just got this update for my 485 application:
Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview
As of November 2, 2015, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxxxx, for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I'm surprised how fast I got this... Anyone else got this update already? ?

By all accounts EAD / AP usually gets issued 60-90 days from receipt of application. So you could be looking at another 3-8 weeks although thanksgiving etc might cause a few delays.

I have a similar timeline and hope its as quick as possible.

I'm Irish too btw

Americanirish I didn't hear anything about EAD/AP yet and I haven't received another update since last update on 11/02 about scheduling interview. Hopefully we'll hear something soon. We probably will until December ?
