Lawyer sent me the mail tracking info and my adjustment of status package was delivered in Chicago on Monday October 5th. I'm adjusting status through my USC husband. I live in Los Angeles. Unfortunately the lawyer didn't send the form G-1145 to get text and email notification so I won't get E-notifications... I'll keep checking my online bank account to see when they cash the checks and wait for the mailed NOA .. I came from El Salvador in 2007 through a j1 visa as an Au Pair. My visa has stamped that I'm subject to the two year rule but I knew Im not so I requested an advisory opinion to the US Department of State and after 9 weeks waiting, I finally got their letter stating that I'm not subject to the rule. Our lawyer sent the letter with the package and all my DS 2019 forms I got during the Au Pair program .. Hopefully that will be enough proof for uscis.. Sorry my message is long but I'm sharing my experience in case it might be helpful for someone who is in my same situation .. I'll keep updating about my case and process.. Good luck October filers!! ☺
