Hi again to everybody and following below is how my interview went

Frist i arrived at 8am and had to get thru security to handed them all my cell phones, after security i went to a small window and got my number then went to sit down in the waiting area around 9am an american man came in with his translator,he told us to make a vow that everything we say will be the truth then around 11am they called me to come to window number 7,a vietnamese lady checked all my paperwork and found out i missed 1 more DS-156 + copy of my passport,i had to go back to the hotel and get the papers and made a copy of the passport,i got back to the consulate at 11:30am and went back to the same window and handed the lady my papers and she told me to come back at 1pm,i went to have lunch with some other girls and we got back in at 12:35pm,i waited for so long and saw alots of blue slip were given, then finally at 3:20pm they called me again to the window number 6 and the vietnamese who was a translator asked me if i can speak english i said yes i can then she told me i will have the interview all alone with the CO,they were all so nice to me and the vietnamese lady left. The very first question that the CO asked me was how did me and my fiance meet each other and when. She was very friendly and smiled so much to me and was very impressed with my english and she seem to love it then she asked me several questions like how many kids did my fiance have and their name and if im ready to be their mom. Have i ever been to the US. Do i have any relative there and if they knew my fiance how and when. When was our engagement date and how many people came to our party. How many trips he made to VietNam and what did i think bout him when we first met. And do i have a plan to go to the US and i said no because im not sure if i will have a visa or not and that made the CO laughed so much. She asked me about 22 questions. She looked thru the stuff so quickly but she seemed to care so much about our engagement pictures. She didnt look at all my evidence. After she got done i saw she got a pink slip and wrote something down and then told me that i can come back at 4pm the next day to pick up my visa. After all that she told me have a good life in America and smiled at me one more time. That was all of the interview and i left so happy. I went back to security and got my phone back to call my fiance who was waiting at family house. I hope this info will help the rest of you guys here who are going to have your interview. One more thing bout when i went to pick up my visa it was a horrible wait again. I arrived there at 3:30pm and got my visa at 5:15pm. I dont know about the rest of the people who interview after me but the girls that i saw most of them got blue slip and only one other girl before me got pink

We wish all the best to the rest of you

Cheers

Yeah..... Just want to say congratulation again to you :innocent: I notice that COs like people who can speak English well. I came to the Consulate to pick up my packet 4 couple days ago and yes, i saw many blue slips also. Some of them whom i talked to told me that they could not speak English well and needed translator. People in the Consulate in that day were very nice to me also. Hope i can feel the same in my interview day in 18 days :D I went to get vaccination this morning, it was horrible and i know i should prepare for one more "nightmare" at Cho Ray hospital in few hrs (i am at the office and working now, will fly to there at 7AM when i finish work and hope i would not be the last person though). I'd prefer to get the health test in IOM but they gave me appointment at 9th (i consider it is a bit "late" for my health test expectation), so i choose Cho Ray then. I will cross my fingers for all of my "partners" on the K journey to pray for our successful interview at last!!!!

Thank you for your much help here

Trang (L)(F)

PS: Also, please show me how to post a nice time line follow with this post? I tried my "my signature" but i got error which said "too long signature"...is there any better way for this process? Thanks and don't laugh at me :P

Sounds like getting a k-1 visa in Vietnam is tough. What about k-3? Is it tougher?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but not all the interviews held are for K1 and K3 visa's. They also do interviews for family members trying to come to the US, student visa's and so forth.

Just because you see someone with a blue slip does not mean they were denied a K1 or K3 visa.

What I noticed when I was submitting more evidence in the Consulate was that certain types of Visa's must go to a particular window and I the window I was in looked to be just K1 and K3's. I saw only 1 pink the whole 4 hours I was waiting. The rest were just green. I could be wrong though.

I just remembered something after I read what T&T said about the vaccinations. Maybe I heard this here, I can't remember. But, someone told me that when they arrived at the vaccination place, they asked the man with the papers if there was anyway to make the process go faster, he said, yes, she gave him 50,000vnd and was done with everything in 15 minutes. Worth a shot.

My vaccination went smooth and just need to waited little bit long but it was such a horrible step when i had my medical in Cho Ray hospital, they looked at my papers and told me i have to wait if im living in saigon, they put my papers in the end of those other and called me til i called my uncle who is a doctor and worked there gave them a call and talked to them bout my case then everything went smooth and real fast after that

As far as i know blue slip doesnt mean a denied and you can submit what they want when you have it,on the 28 i saw lots of blue and green slip were given. I tried to look at those other who i talked to while we went to have lunch the next day when i went to pick up my visa. I dont know if my eyes is good (i have to wear a glasses) but there was the only one who came to pick her visa in marc 1st and i cant find those other. I wish the rest of vj will pass their interview and can be with the one they love soo sooo soon

All my best
