We went in yesterday for what we thought was are AOS Interview and it turns out that it was far from it. It what with a frad investigater, and it was Fing BS. It had to do with some ###### about how much money I make and because she is Vietnamese. It was so stuped, but obvious we had no problems with it. He closed that case and promissed to get are AOS interview Rushed for us.

wow - that sounds pretty scary. I haven't seen anyone lured in for an interview only to find out its not an AOS interview. I really woudn't call it discrimination though, they for some reason thought there was a fraudulant situation, and you seemed to handle it. I am glad it turned out well for you, some do not even get the chance to prove they are legitimate (at least at consular level).

good luck in the *real* AOS interview.

They have sent hunderds of people back becauase of it as well. But ya he dident even look at proof I brought. He asked me a few things then I was lead out and he talked to my wife. Ask about 10 mins or so they came out and he said that was was going to close the case and get us the interview as soon as possiable. It was pretty cut and dry but the whole thing kind annoy's me really!

wow, this sounds really rude but I guess this is how it is. Only because a few people screw up things, this will be reflect on all of the same race.

Well, I am vietnamese as well but grow up in Germany since I was 2 months. When I got here and I got enrolled to the "system" the expression and the way people were talking to me really insulted me. They must have thought that I got married to "escape" from Vietnam, even though I was not from there.

Do not let these things bother you too much!

This may seem insensitive, but I am glad to hear they actually investigate potential fraud.

I am glad your case was so cut and dry and that it was very apparent to them.

I realize this may of been inconvenient, but this does mean that they are processing your case and that it has been verified by an investigator as real.

Making false and libelous statements for one. I still don't get why he is upset and name calling. There is a big scandal with marriages and people from his country. He was investigated and cleared and now will get his case expedited as soon as possible and yet he is whining discrimination. The problems are not false and USCIS is just doing their job.

You don't hear the Pinay and South American latinos screaming discrimination because they are closely closely scrutinized for prostitution. It is just a sad thing to deal with. I have experienced worse.

I do feel for his long timeframe mine is similar and I had to pay for two AOS fees as well as repeated AP and EAD. I'd love to trade places with him. I am still 15 months out on standard AOS.

This is something I heard first time - interview before interview.

Seems after some fancy cases, they become paranoiac about all similar cases following some known stereotypes what come from closed minded people.

Stray strong and don't let something like this upset you. You know who you are as person and why you two are together and its only what matters.

If you go looking for discrimination then you will find it....

They asked you for an interview.... they were checking if your marriage was real... that is their job... if you feel that you have been singled out then you are in for a very unhappy life.... it happens people check you out... do you accuse them all of discrimination or do you just get on with your life and be happy...

I know what I will be doing each and every time someone needs to check that I am here legaly, that I have a Greencard, that I am allowed to work, That I am a good person, that I am still married to the person who sponsored me, I will say to myself well ok its a pain to have to deal with but if I wish to live here then I have to accept that there are people who need to check me out... deal with it and move on...

I was just letting everyone leting know what is up, and no I'm not claiming some big discrimination deal over it. I can understand the reasoning behide it and yes there are alot of people that mess things up for everyone. But not to say its only Vietnam, Yes Vietnam does have alot of it. But what about Russia, Cambodia, North Korea, Thailand, Singapore, and China, to name just a few. Yes the majority of all Eastern Country has a big issus with Visa Frad. But one thing does not always mean another, the reason why or at least the reason I got was because "I am not rich and she is Vietnamese" and yes this is a stuped reason because that is all that it was based on. I do have a Joint-Sponser and he is my dad for heaven Sakes, and we have alot of family support. John & Annie you have a right to say whatever you want, But how would you feel if they claimed you Frad for something similer. We all dont have the same luck in the processing of are cases and just because you are a lucky one how does this give you a right to say well I'm glad they investigaded you.

What if they were to Deport your Spouse and then someone else said the same tihng to you? I am her to give a head up to everyone and let them know what is going on and what to be perpard for. Yes it was not that big of a deal for us but it was inconvenent and unnessassory. Other people have been throught even bigger messes. Some people who are 100% in love have been deported, this is a sereous matter and just because it was cut and dry for us does not mean that everyone who are totally honest, really in love each other and want to be together for the rest of there life will be so lucky.

Immgration is a ######, I hope that everyone on this form is the real deal and if not then I hope that you really understand what your doing and how it effects other and that moving to another country is not going to turn your life around for the better. It makes it worse for most people for and yes some woman or kill this is the sad truth of it. I dont want to sound like I'm rambling on to much but I'm taking to time to give the info to people and help them out in case of the worst. Know what your getting into and be ready for the worst thing possable. Planing sould also include what if someone goes wrong.

Good luck to everyone and I pray that god is on your side!!!
