Evidence of ongoing relationship

I know I am getting a little ahead of myself as we haven't filed the I-129f yet. But I'm just trying to think what I'll do at the Evidence of an ongoing relationship. I have a skype subscription and we mostly call. If we do text it's very short like 'call me' or something and it's a text he sends to my email. I never deleted them and I literally have thousands of short emails.

I'm sure they don't want to see near to 7000 emails and it'll probably be closer to 10,000 by the time they want them... In that case since it does show his number in the email. Do I just copy various pages of my inbox from different dates? Do they need to see content of the message or just that messages have been sent?

We have boarding passes I am copying for the I-129f and when I go for interview he'll of visited me here in England so I'll copy his boarding passes to take with me to interview and take pictures etc (there will be a lot). We don't facebook (I think we sent like 10 messages on there in the past year) and we rarely skype message as we actually like to talk rather than type. So I see that as pointless as adding. I'm assuming they want to see from when we apply (december) up until the interview (whenever that may be?)

Sorry I know it's a long way off yet but I like to understand the process fully so I can make it go as smoothly as possible.

Some consulates want ongoing relationship things and will look at photo albums and email and chat logs. London will NOT want to see any of that. None. Zero. So don't get in a panic over what you will take. This is what you need at a London interview.

Passport: must have at least eight months validity left

Birth Certificate: must list parents' names.

Adoption Certificate: If applicable

No and if you don't know his name, birthdate, or whereabouts, you can say Unknown on your forms. Perfectly acceptable.

Always good to prepare for this process. As our resident UK expert (Nich-Nick) said during the London interview they do not ask for any additional proof of an ongoing relationship. We were in the same spot, we like to talk more than type so this is what we did.

In the I-129F pack I included:

1. a brief outline (and I mean brief) of our visits and that we chat daily on Skype/FaceTime.

2. Passport stamps from visits both mine and his

3. Boarding passes from each of our last trips

4. Pictures from FB of me, Tim and family members.

That was it. Very simple. It showed we communicated and tried to see each other when we could.

There are some embassies where they need to "front load", London is not one of them. When I was preparing my information I tried to focus more on the posts from other K1 couples going thru London...even for the early stages.

Hope this helps and best of luck.

Thanks I've got a lot of stuff I'll be doing over the next 2 months including going to the doctor to find out about vaccinations etc. I want to be ontop of everything that I need to do for my side of things because I've a tenancy to make mistakes on forms and I don't want to delay it!

We sent in some photos of us with family (one was taken at a tourist attraction so date was printed on it too) and copies of boarding passes and passport stamps. At the interview I wasn't asked to bring any proof, but had photos and more boarding passes (had 2 more trips to the US plus a Canada one) but they never asked to see it. London is a low fraud location so assuming no other red flags (age difference, history of K1 visa applications etc) you need very little proof of ongoing relationship. Since UK is an ESTA and you can travel as a tourist then very little reason to commit fraud to get to the USA.

I've never applied for a visa to the US, although my daughter is a duel citizen. I don't think there will be any issues with it. I know I have to get certain extra documentation because I have asthma (mild) etc. But otherwise I think it's fine.

Something important, many people forget is the written letters of intent to marry, within the dates of the I-94.

I also hand wrote a description, of the way we met, and the places we traveled, and it was complimented, by the CO at my wife's interview. It was 4 pages long, and hand written.

I know that is not required, but I am Mr. "overkill" sometimes, as I will always give you more infor., than you ask for.

Also, the first thing the CO asked my wife for was.,.,.,..,"do you have any pictures???"

Depends on the country, different CO's ask for different things.

You seem really "on top of things" and taking this and being ready when the time comes, so you can go over it many times, and refine if you need to.

We are living apart at the moment and both have kids, we are a family. It's really hard living apart after being there for 6 weeks in the summer. The girls miss each other and with the time difference it's hard for them to be able to talk in the week. It's important to me we get this right the first time. Not to mention everything else medical wise I need to look into. I know that people have said in England they don't ask for anything. But I will take pictures and we are allowed phones so if they want to see all our emails/phonecalls they are welcome to :)

Hi guys

I have an interview coming up on the 18th of October and my medical exam is on 15th and 16th this month. Most of the vaccines they require I had them administered already when I was under 5. I have been given a polio booster. My worry is I do not have my clinic card to show I had most of these vaccines. Any idea of how to go about it? I am not a fan of being poked with needles either.

You are better off asking this in a separate thread as the Opening post is nothing to do with the medical. However, as far as I am aware you need written documentation proving this. Your options would be to get it printed at your doctors or to have them done again.
