I think that's also one of the reasons people go wonky and go on these mass shooting rampages. Self obsessed idiots with a 24 page manifesto of unintelligible, unintelligent ego filled garbage.

we raise kids telling them they are the best and brightest just because they were born and we love them. we tell them to ignore the haters no matter what, when most times haters are just offering constructive criticism. from before preschool we tell them they can be whatever they want no matter what. they can have whatever they want, if they work hard enough. and sparing a small percent of special snowflakes, none of it is remotely true.
