here's the point you're apparently are not willing to come to grips with yet. the constitution grants the right to keep & bear arms. we're going to need an idea that does NOT infringe on peoples rights. do you have an idea?

Increasing police funding and putting more officers on the street doesn't infringe on people's rights.

However I'm not convinced that more police will stop mass shootings. It just makes slightly more sense than employing randoms to guard random places.

you want more money going to education, give more.

retired military & police that are willing to continue to serve the public are randoms. I get it now. :wacko:

thanks again. again context. we were talking about tax funding. not private donations.

It's certainly a strange approach to take to these issues - to totally ignore the systems set up to deal with them (like income tax and the police force) and suggest solutions at the national level that rely solely on individual goodwill. Edited by Trumplestiltskin
