it's been established that if someone wants to break the law and shoot people, they're going to break the law and shoot people. all the more reason to limit their ability to get their a gun, not make more guns available. that would be the opposite of a logical response.

lets hear your ground breaking ideas for limiting access. try to not infringe on peoples rights. go

The US has gotten itself into a nonsensical position on this issue. What should logically be done, can't be done so all of the remaining solutions are increasingly ridiculous.

i don't understand how i can keep saying that i live in a cc state with pretty lax gun laws, guns are all around me, i believe that people have the right to own a gun and yet i get a response starting off with 'guns are legal in the us'..derpie doo

its stupid. simple enough?

No. Why do you disagree with it?

If it helps you any, I actually don't agree with it. Then again I don't think any good is done for society by militarising it with armed guards and the further proliferation of firearma.

However, if you want to talk about stupid ideas.... How about this one?

You suggested that armed guards should be deployed to help prevent mass shootings.

Have you perhaps heard of the police?

the military patrolling the streets is not a viable solution. you need that explained?

an armed security guard being required if a place of business wants to promote a gun free zone. you need that explained?

i'm going to vote that whatever sousuke thinks is worth a try is probably a good bet. he's realistic and knows way more about the laws than i do. unless he wants to arm teachers and what not cause i'm not down with that. i won't send my kid to school with armed teachers. that's about it, that's my one big stipulation. please try not to infringe on the rights of those who don't want to live in a war zone masquerading as pleasantville.

ground broke. murica's new gun laws fantasy court. go!

It's viable, its just not an idea that's compatible with a free society.

I think it needs to be explained why the already existing, armed police are not sufficient. Instead of roping in retirees with itchy trigger fingers, why not start with what already exists?
