I wasn't sure where to ask this but to make a long story short..I had gotten engaged to a girl overseas. Got her the visa, she came here, we got married within 90 days and she ended up running away. I ended up getting that marriage annulled and my question is if I were to do this again with another girl, will I encounter any difficulties? If I were to get engaged overseas and attempt to get another visa

A lot depends on the timeline. Yes, bringing two ladies over can be a red flag, especially if it happens quickly. The best way to mitigate that red flag is to spend lots of time together.

the first girl basically scammed me to get here i found out after. She came jan 2014, and a little over a month after coming to the states, march 2014, i came home and she was missing. I never started the green card process so as far as i know, she didnt get a green card. the annulment was finalized sept 2014 since there was a 90 day waiting period for her to respond due to me not knowing where she is.

and there's no new girl..but it was brought up within my family so i was just trying to get an understanding before anything happens.

I am no expert, but there is another post on the forum (tried to find it to link unsuccessfully) where this was a question and it was determined that it may look suspicious at the Embassy but there should be no issue at USCIS as long as you have lots of evidence to prove the new relationship is bonafide.

I also know from reading the forums pretty heavily that there are quite a few regular posters (hopefully one can post here as well) who have filed more than once and they were able to do so without issue. If I remember correctly there is a waiver required if it is 2 or more visa requests. (but I could be slightly off on the number since this is all from memory, since again I couldn't find the original post to link)

Thanks kat&jon for the info. I/m going thru the same situation and I will be filing in the next 2 months or so. This will be my second k-1 in 2 years. and even though my country is a high fraud on visas I'm hoping for the best. I will be filing a waiver in case this is necessary and we will try to be as well prepare for the interview. I will be sending proof of an ongoing relationship in the I-129F form even though this is not being ask for but it will give them a scoop that this is a true and real relationship. I will appreciate all your info thanks a lot

Front load the next petition.
Wait a year at least to file. If the next one is a scammer too you will see red flags evolving over a years time that you can't catch in a few months.

Include a letter of what happened and why you feel your next fiance will not do the same thing and the best thing to convince a CO

of that is lots of visits and family interaction. Proof that you have spend lots of time to really know her.

Include the waiver request if under 2 years. Waivers for multiple filings are more a formality and nothing to worry about to get your petition approved,

the scrutiny will come at the interview and your next fiance needs to know everything about the previous fiance.

Petitioner should be on the premises during the interview.

I totally disagree with several of our posters, as I was the "best man" at my best friends wedding this past Saturday.

He was married to a gal from the Phils., July 2012. She messed around on him, he caught her, she signed documents in the attorneys office, admitting to adultery, etc. He divorced her about one year later.

He met another gal from the Phils., went to see her, and they filed another K-1, it was approved in less than 30 days. (Dec. 2014) But, after the NOA 2, due to police back ground check from Japan, where she had stayed with her sister for more than 6 months, it was July 12 of this year until she entered the USA. It was a long painful wait.

But, the time frame would have been without the Japan police clearance, he would have been "through the K-1 process" 2 times, and married within about a 3 year period.,,...,and not one question was asked about two K-1's within 3 years that was over and done! He got a fine lady this time.,.,I knew her from the Phils., as I spent 2 years there, and knew her and her family.
