what is the priority date, plz help

i am creating a profile on ustraveldocs so i can pay the fee for the visa
and under this
Please enter your name as it appears in your passport. If you have filled out a DS-160 or DS-260 please use the same values as entered there.

they asked about my name, my gender and my nationality

but then they need to put priority date
then the case id

could someone please help me with that, someone here told me, the priority date you should receive in the email from the nvc, but until now have not received any email from nvc, i just called to have my case number, and i read now in an old topic that the priority date is not for the k1

so please can someone tell me what is that exactly?

Priority date was on an email we got from the NVC. Not sure what it's for. The priority date we had was a date which was just after the date we filed for the K1 visa. I never had to use it for anything.

I recall that on NVC documents there was a box top which had a place for a priority date to be inserted.

when i create a profile on ustraveldocs to print CGI so i can pay the visa at CIB bank here which how this is work here in my country, so they ask about the priority date

i don't know i have my case number, but i did not receive any document from NVC until now, not by email nor mail

The priority date is the date the petition was filed, which for your case is September 5, 2014

K1 visa takes 5-6mths to be ready so priority day i think is counting from when u filled to another six months later.. Its an assummed date ur whole process is expected to be ready.. Guess dis help..wish all of us success on dis journey

thanks so much for everyone's answer, i asked my attorney and she just reply me now, The Priority Date is the date we were receipted, the date when we were login to our uscis and say we received your petition on (date) the date u sent your petition

Priority date is the RECEIVED date on your NOA1. This is from NVC.

Priority date is not used with the K-1 visa, you could enter any date you want.

The priority date is the date the petition was filed, which for your case is September 5, 2014

and yes the priority date my attorney told me the same, its the received noa1 date

but when i was now creating my profile on ustraveldocs.com they asked me about it, i would rather to put the right date than any date
