What's the update for your petition? I just called nvc and the guy I talked to told me they received my case on the 21st of December and wait for at least 42 days.

My parents PD 16th july. And got stransferred to potomac on 16th October. On 18th December finally I got mail from potomac, was approved 14th December. Don't have any up date on uscis wed,still case was stransferred. Waiting for next step now. Hope everything go smooth... Good luck.

Hello! Received my welcome letter from nvc paid aos fee and selected agent today. Do I have to wait to pay for the iv fee? And please tell me what to do next? Thank you!

What Does the National Visa Center Do?

After a USCIS office approves the petition I-130, it sends the petition to the National Visa Center (NVC). NVC does the following:

- Assigns a case number

- Sends Form DS-3032 Choice of Address and Agent to the applicant (your parents). The applicant selects an agent. The agent can be anyone, including the applicant. The NVC will mail all future letters (except for the Affidavit of Support, Form I-864) about processing the immigrant visa case to the agent. Make sure the postal address is correct and is kept up-to-date.

- Sends the bill for the Form I-864 Affidavit of Support processing to the petitioner

- Sends the I-864 Forms and Instructions to the petitioner after the petitioner pays the I-864 processing fee

- Sends the bill for immigrant visa (IV) processing fee to the agent after the applicant sends form DS-3032 Choice of Address and Agent, to the NVC

- Sends an instruction package to the agent after the agent pays the immigrant visa application processing fee, Form DS-230

- Reviews information for technical correctness and completeness.

- Sends the petition to the embassy or consulate where the applicant will apply for a visa when the case file is complete

The exact contents of the Instruction Packet will depend on where the applicant will be interviewed for a visa.

Can anybody advise how long it took for the NVC to receive their approved I-130 paperwork from USCIS? My NOA2 was Dec 2nd 2015 but the NVC have no record of me yet. Does paperwork get lost???

Hi, ur case is complete already? That's fast.

Now I still waiting for civil documents from my parents then I can submit together with iv documents. Hopefully can send all papers end this month.

Hello! I'm waiting for medical exam and interview schedule for my mom. Hopefully by the end of this month they're done reviewing the documents I sent them (NVC)

Just another update. Received an email from NVC that they finished with the reviews for my mother's petition. Still waiting for the schedule of her interview and medical, that I don't know how long. ?
