Hello,

I filed i-130 petition for my mother june of this year. I received my NOA-1 last July 25th. After that, never heard any updates. I assumed that it is still in the mid of processing. It has been over 2 months and never heard anything though. Should I be concerned? OR does it really takes that long before receiving any updates from the immigration. My papers was forwarded to Texas.

Hoping to find answers and explanation :)

06/29/2015 - Received a text from USCIS case is received

07/25/2015 - Received NOA1

11/04/2015 - I-130 approved

11/09/2015 - Received NOA2

12/16/2015 - Case sent to Dept of State

12/21/2015 - NVC received my case for visa processing

01/09/2016 - NVC Welcome Letter Received

01/09/2016 - Paid AOS fee and selected agent

01/13/2016 - Reviewed DS-261 over the phone

01/14/2016 - Recieved invoice for IV fee

01/15/2016 - Paid IV fee

01/19/2016 - Mailed financial/supporting documents to NVC

01/20/2016 - Submitted DS-260

01/22/2016 - Email notification from NVC that they received the financial/supporting documents

02/29/2016 - Email checklist from NVC

03/09/2016 - Responded to NVC checklist (mailed)

03/15/2016 - Additional document received by NVC (another 30-45 days wait...ugh!!!!)

It is pretty normal to wait that long for any other information from USCIS after the NOA1. Your case is in the first stage of the review process, for me it took about 5 months before I heard anything back from USCIS after the first NOA1. Unfortunately for me, I had an RFE, but the RFE took very little time, so I was able to get the NOA2 in almost 6 months after I filed.

I think it depends on when you file and I believe cases from the Philippines are faster, but I am not sure. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select the appropriate Field Office, Service Center, National Benefits Center (also known as MSC), Immigrant Investor Program Office (also known as EB-5) OR International Operations Offices... To see more or less how long it will take to hear from them.

hi guys , i have a question and need some help

hi i'm a us citizen and i would like to bring my mom and my 18 years old single brother to the us .
should i file just one i130 for mom or have to file 2 i130, one for my mom and one for my brother
can you pls help me out and put me in the right track

You have to file seperately. But it'll take years for your sibling as what I've heard. Petition your parent first. And when she arrives and get settled, let her petition your brother and you can be a co-sponsor if needed. I'm not an expert about this. You can browse other topics that is related to your case.

Congrats! What service center are you? Mine is Texas and never heard from them yet until now. Ugh! Frustrating!

Yes , you'll get two numbers. one for each parent. I assume you filed two i-130. You had to file two.

Congratulations! I petition for my parent on July but still waiting. Hope can get approve soon.
