I can relate and would end up spending hours on the phone. We finally ended up doing more Yahoo Messenger each day to try and cut the $600 a month phone bill down.

I know how you feel. You have to restrain your feelings. I, too, am experiencing the same feeling. However, I know that if I don't continue my daily routine there will not be a future for my family. She's in Cambodia. So, you must stay sane and pursevere the time. Eventually, you'll get to see her. Don't let it destroy your work habits. Remember, if she comes and you're out of your job your future together will be very tough.

Last year after I met and left her (April 2006), my long distance fee was minimum 1000 $ /month . We talked for hours on the phone . It has been like that for about 8,9 months. Couple months ago we found out Skype and Yahoo , that saved me alot of money . I'm at work at keep staring her web cam . eventhough she's sleeping now . I just want to quit everything and be with her .....

I feel you! I miss my wife so much too. I had $400-$500 a month phone bills too until I set up Skype Video between us last July. We also have our webcams on most of the time. It's weird but I know that we communicate more than couples that are physically together. I'll be visiting her at the end of April for a few weeks so that keeps me going. I always have the worse case of missing her the first few weeks we part. It stabilizes after that. Hang in there. Just keep telling yourself that what you're doing now is preparing for your future together.

I know exactly how you are feeling. I just got back from Vietnam this Sunday and missing her dearly. We got the greenslip after providing everything the Consulate requested. So now I don't even know how long the wait is. I want to drop everything and be with her also, but I know better. Keep you head strong. I know it's hard but you will be re-united soon.

I just got back this sunday too, company just sold, it's crazy. I'm glad that they a pushing me hard at work. Make time go by quicker even though only been back 4 days. It's feel like months when ever I'm not busy. Even worst when after I talk to her. We knows we suppose to be happy but for some reason we're both happy to be sad and missing each other company. it's a bitter sweet kinda deal.

27 more days until my fiance interview... and I'm missing her every single free moment. Thai try to keep busy that's way time go by faster. Can you eat the last few days? I remember when I just got back before I submitted the application I couldn't taste any food for almost 3 weeks.

Yup...been back 4 days and still can't eat much or sleep. I've dropped over 5 pounds. Maybe I can recommend this whole procedure as a dieting program. Hope you interview goes well and she will be with you soon. I just try to keep busy that way the days goes by quicker but the nights drag on and on. I've resorted to taking sleeping pills just to sleep and not think too much.

yeah, I was back to the states on Sunday too (via Korean Air) . I can not do anything but talk to her on the phone , chat via yahoo IM, video chat on SKYPE. We have our web cam on like 24/7 . Here is the deal. When I get home from work, I turn my laptop on and cam on, she then can view it. I also have access to her PC, so I can view her wc too, even she's still sleeping. I just lay on bed and watch her until I fall asleep. when she wakes up, she starts watching me sleeping plus some chinese movie sometimes. when I wake up, talk to her for about 30 minutes or an hour. then i turn off my laptop and go to work. when I get to work, turn my laptop back on and start viewing her web cam and chatting via Yahoo IM . so spritually we are in touch 24/7 ...... I dont want to mention here about the XXX stuffs .

LOL! I do something similar as well. We have Skype video contact almost all day even when sleeping. She is 16 hours ahead so we do have some overlap since her shifts at work don't start until the afternoon. The only thing I can tell you is to try and put it into perspective. Imagine the couples many years ago that were apart and had NO visual communication. You can even take it further back and imagine when phone calls were SUPER expensive and email did not exist.

The internet and general communication today has improved to the point where we are virtually close to one another. Just imagine not having any of these and we had to resort to writing love letters again that required overseas delivery. I just keep these thoughts in my mind when I miss her physical presence.

For me it lasts for a few weeks after I leave Thailand, then i settle back into my routine, and look forward to my next trip. I also work-out alot, two hours every day, keeps my anxiety in check, helps me get to sleep easily at night (from exhaustion), but helps keep me strong, my head clear and focused for the both of us. I never heard of this Skype video. Nid doesn't have a computer anyway, she usually goes to an internet cafe once a week and we video-chat for about an hour. We call each other twice a day (in morning for me, and in morning for her), my phone bill to Thailand runs about $80/month, I use an international calling service, call toll-free number, then dial her number, for 10cents/min.
