i wonder if the russian girl natasha's husband was ever a vj member? it's possible.....

i'm actually surprised no one here has mentioned the "mail order bride" gossip she has been receiving.

I like that Renee girl.

 Laura, Natasha really makes me wonder sometimes that too  It's funny watching her.

I'm not very impressed with the girls this season. If I saw them in their ordinary clothes in a supermarket I'd never say they're supermodel material. None of them, well maybe Renee if she was wearing make-up :P

Here's an interesting article, since we're talking about mail order brides:

America's Next Top Model

Presenting Natasha...

It was nearly impossible for America's Next Top Model to throw anything at us we hadn't seen before—we've had to endure Lisa and her exaggerated crack ####### impersonations, Melrose's holier-than-thou bitchfests, and Keenyah slowly eating her way to elephantine proportions. It's not like the show isn't already insane. And yet, Ken Mok and Lady Tyra still manage, with every new season, to throw a girl at us who ups the ante, keeps things interesting, and is less cognizant than anyone believed possible for a walking, talking, human being. This season, we get Natasha.

Natasha is a mail order bride. For reals. She was shipped over from Russia at age 18 to marry a 40-year-old in Texas, the man she says "saved her life and made her an American." So she has that weight to bear. But on top of her worth in postage, Natasha brings an invaluable asset to the show, and one that viewers haven't seen before: she really cannot speak English. Don't be fooled; she knows how to smile and act very excited when something happens that makes the other girls giddy—after the first elimination, Tyra began a booty dance and Natasha was the first to join in, awkwardly thrusting her bony hips and lion's mane bouffant towards the camera—but she doesn't understand anything that's going on. And it's genius television.

Sure, there are a lot of world famous models who are monolingual, but they don't have to be in a house with ten other chicken fried American girls or take contrived directions on set. "Be sexy!" translates across borders, "In this shot, you need to subtley convey the theme of 'teacher's pet'" does not. Not only did Natasha not know what a teacher's pet was in the last shoot, but when the judges pointed this out to her, she only smiled and said that she was beautiful with a big smile. Most likely, this is what her husband/dominator taught her to say at every panel. Fortunately, she can still talk some shi!t, even in broken speech; her token phrase "these girls are mas-cu-lane. Why are they hurr?" is spot on, albeit incomprehensible.

Most people tune in for Tyra's quotes ("modeling is about being a ho, but making it fashion!"), but this season, Natasha allows the models to be an attraction of their own. Here's hoping she's not with the KGB.—Rachel Syme

I LOVE ANTM! Oh man...I even got my husband hooked on it. :D

If you guys love the show, you should read this blog: http://fourfour.typepad.com/ He recaps all the episodes (as well as Project Runway) and they're completely hilarious.

I want Renee to leave so badly, but she does bring great drama. Oooh. I'm a fan of Brittany, even though she's possibly the most annoying.
