G-325A for K1

I'm in the process of filling out I-129F packet, and notice that the G-325A from my fiance needed to sign with her signature. Is it required to sign by her now? I searched at USCIS and it's not required to sign by her yet. Please give me some info.

Interesting... I have never read that before. But since the USCIS released that memorandum, I guess it's true. If I had known about this before, we could have saved some time haha...my fiance would not have to send the forms to me to be signed. I asked about this before and I was advised to have my fiance sent me those forms to me so I can sign em, otherwise I would get RFEs.

I guess the next question should be : Has anyone ever gotten RFEs for not signing G-325A after November 2005?

My fiancé called the USCIS and they said he could sign them for me, and then I could sign them at the interview. BUT after talking with others who went through the process, we decided I should fill them in myself and sign them (also, the letter of intent needs to be signed.) Someone I was talking with told me her fiancé made the mistake of not having her signature and USCIS sent him back the whole package. Anyway, my signed forms and letter of intent were sent by Xpress post yesterday so he should have them today or tomorrow. It's not really that much extra time compared to if you sent the package and get it returned just because you lack the original signatures. And it might be true what the USCIS person said about my fiancé signing the forms for me but we didn't want to risk having the whole package sent back, knowing that has happened to others!

A copy signature would work? can she scan and email her signature and I'll just paste it in the form? any thought guys?

No, I don't think that would work.

I have never known of anyone NOT signing also if the language is different will need to be in their original way to sign in their language also, (i dont recall where they were from)

I too was in a similar situation and had posted on VJ. The general consenus was its better to send a complete application rather than have something returned. At best you may delay by about a week.

You could also call USCIS and see if that directive still holds true today. I just played safe and asked my fiancee to send me signed forms however, it would be interesting to see if anyone has got RFE's for not submitting signed G-325A forms.

I HAVE heard of cases where RFEs have been issued because signatures were NOT originals AND because all 4 copies of the forms were not submitted, among other things. I personally wouldn't take a chance on it.
