Thank you so much for the information. It really helps a lot.

I guess for now we have no choice but to endure the pain of not being able to hug and bid goodbyes to our parents. Time flies so fast anyway. your first vacation with your green card would be the happiest.

By the way, when did you get your exam results from NMC. Did they give you the same day? or you have to go back for it?

I have search about the seminar that you are saying, they called it CFO, its a half day seminar and u need to book online first, and once you attended that seminar they will attached a sticker on yout passport. Immigration wont allow you to leave without CFO sticker. I guess still safe if you will leave in Manila even youve got your K1 in Abi Dhabi

Yes Mae you have a choice of departing from Manila. What I am saying is that you will never know what the immigration people would ask as additional documents. If they know that you got your k1 visa from other country they might ask for a lot of documents even if you have attended the seminar or even if you have complete documents. I just don't want to take the risk of being retain. Its better to be safe than sorry :)

Thread moved to the PI Regional forum. OP will get better advice from people who actually visit the PI as this question is about entering the PI.

Send a private message to Hank_ as he is our resident genius. He will be able to answer the question about traveling through the Philippines then onto USA.

Hi,

Please help me. I have my interview on October 8, and if all goes well and our application gets approved, I would like to go home to the Philippines first and stay there for about a week or two, and I will enter USA from there. Is that possible? Because I'm scared that the Immigration in the Philippines would not allow me to go through even if I have my K1 visa with me.

You will have to complete CFO and get a sticker in your passport before you will be allowed to leave the Philippines because you have your visa in your passport. Other then that there will be no issue flying from the Phils to the USA.

Here's the thing. Since you are a Filipino, the I.O. at Manila airport may not let you leave without the C.F.O. sticker. So you may have to attend the CFO training before you leave. I could be wrong, but maybe Hank can chime in?

Edit: Nevermind, Hank answered! LOL

Sad but true. I'll just probably stay inside the airport and wait for my flight. :crying::cry:

My advise is pay now so you can schedule your interview earlier and when you have your interview date you can gather all the necessary documents while waiting for the big day :). We paid 979 AED in Empost which is the full visa fee, you don't have to pay on the day of the interview. Yeah, I just finished my medical last Thursday in NMC Deira, it was 865 AED (525 for laboratory and 340 for the vaccination because I don't have my vaccination records with me).

Hello Ms. Mira!

I am a newbie here ,from Philippines, residing and applied K1 here in UAE,,, can I ask about NMC, police clearance and Empost Payment?

1. Where NMC Deira located? because when I googled the hospital there are a lot of addresses appeared, I am confused...one in Al Nahda and one in Abuhail

2. what is document needed and procedure in empost payment?

3. Where did you get your police clearance?

Thank you... and Goodluck!

Police Records

Available, only if applicant is physically present in the UAE.

Police certificates may be obtained by any person, regardless of nationality, by personally appearing at the Central Police Headquarters located in the emirate of residence or former residence. When appearing to request a police certificate, the applicant should provide recent photographs, a letter from the requesting authority, the date of residence in the emirate, and their passport.

Not available by mail. Post recommends that consular officers waive the general requirement to obtain police certificates unless the applicant lives in the UAE.

I had my interview last Nov 24 and it was approved, planning to go back home before heading to US. Just need to go for CFO seminar so thay the immigration allow you to leave. They'll give u a CFO sticker after seminar proof that u went for counselling. I have booked mine on Dec 18 and heading to US on the 20th
