Need Help in Filling out I-864 forms.

Hello VJ folks, I need some help here in filling out some parts in I864 form.

Background:

I filed I-130 to bring my wife to the states. We are at the NVC stage. Because I don't have enough income to sponsor my wife, stepfather will join me to be the co-sponsor.

To my understanding, both of my stepfather and I need to fill out the I-864 forms. And right now I'm in the process of filling out the forms.

Questions:

1: Both of my stepfather and I need the I-864 forms, not I-864A or other forms. Correct?

2: In part 2 of I-864, once I choose "Yes" in the question 1, I just need to leave the rest of the "Family Members" blank, correct?

3: In part 6 of I-864, do I need to include my stepfather's information in this section?

To get the semantics out of the way first, when referencing an I-864, joint sponsor is the proper term, not co-sponsor (i.e. your stepdad is a joint sponsor).

Answers to your questions:

1. You and your stepdad both fill out the I-864.
2. Yes
3. No, you do not enter your stepdad's income there.
