Just got an email from USCIS-CSSO stating "On March 11, 2006, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready."

They actually did schedule an interview which was supposed to take place on February 28th, but they then cancelled it "due to unforseen circumstances". To speed up the process I mailed them my Vaccination Supplement (the only thing missing from my AOS application) and I guess that did the trick!

Too bad I *just* applied for EAD renewal (to expire in a couple of weeks) and of course the 180$ they charged me is unrefundable!!!!

But at least the paperwork nightmare is over (for at least two years, that is)..... or perhaps I should wait with that thought till I actually *receive* the card!

Hmm, it does sound exactly like my EAD approval email. Does the email say what case it's for?

My I-485 approval email goes like this:

"Application Type: I485 , Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:

This case has been approved. On March 10, 2006, an approval notice was mailed."

Hope I'm wrong though...

The approval messages are pretty standard, regardless of the nature of the application ... Our AOS was approved without an interview as well and we got 2 different e-mails about it, covering both versions:

First one: " On February 21, 2006, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready."

Second one: " This case has been approved. On February 24, 2006, an approval notice was mailed. [...]"

Congratulations corngirl!
