Hello there,

So me and my wife (petitioner) went to the aos interview today. Everything went well. We were able to provide the docs and we were able to answer consistently to the interviewer which is expected as our marriage is bonafide.

Accdg to the interviewer, she cannot adjudicate it right away because she will have to do some "research" regarding mg medical report. I admitted to the civil surgeon when asked if i have EVER used any type of drug in my entire life. I said YES i tried puffing once many years and that it never happened again. I was refered to a psychologist and said the same thing. The psych eval was good saying that I do not fit to the criteria of class a.

I was even approved by the us embassy of the k1 visa to travel here and evntually marry my wife. We are so scared right now that i might be facing a green card denial. Any experience like this from fellow vjers?

They can't be serious, can they? Referring you to a psychologist for that seems a bit like overkill. I hope that they get over themselves and issue the visa to you. Taking a puff years ago is less than what President Bill Clinton admitted doing....Best of luck

Actually i have my visa already and got here in the us last jan 2015. Im talking about the green card interview awhile ago. The interviewer could not approve us on the spot because accdg to her, she has to "research" first on my medical issue abroad before deciding.

Never had an issue during my k1 visa interbiew. My green card interview was a little different as the interviewer could not approve us on the spot until she is done doing the research regarding my medical issue(admission of drug experimentation years ago.
