Steps before Interview in Dominican Republic? [split topic]

Just got interview date, can anyone shine some light on what are the following steps before interview. Like to here from people thats in the Dominican República since all Embassy is different. Thanks!

You need to go to the embassy specific website and they will direct you to http://www.ustraveldocs.com/doto make a profile and set up an appointment to get fingerprints scanned and photos taken. They say you need to have it done 10 days prior to your interview date. Additionally they have the names of the two authorized medical exam locations (both in Santo Domingo) where you need to go to get the exam done and get any vaccinations that you need. Cost varies depending on age and gender and what you need but for us it was around 300. Good luck.

What fees are paid the day of the interview?

We just had our interview today and we did not have to pay anything. We elected to pick up the Visa from the office in Santo Domingo and I have heard that if you elect to have it sent somewhere then you have to pay something like $11 but that is just what I have heard.

Hey how long did it take to set up an interview, at first there was one available now it's gone..so now I don't know what to do.

Our interview date was given to us by the NVC but we did have to set up the initial appointment to get pictures taken and fingerprints scanned and that was pretty quick. Something like 15 minutes. But I am not sure about setting up an appointment via the website.
