Why not have a license plate for other forms of child abuse? Cracked ribs or malnourishment just doesn't get people as riled up as pedophilia. Abuse is abuse.

Anyone who thinks this will make chilren safer is sadly misguided.

Stranger danger is not the real danger to most childen.

Most children who are abused know their abuser, a member of the family, friend of the family, a nieghbour.

Most child abusers have not been convicted so wouldn't have these plates anyway.

Why waste time and money on giving people a false sense of security.

Considering the fact that sex offenders are listed on state web sites, and letters are mailed out to neighborhood residents when a sex offender moves in, I'd say that a license plate is the least of their worries.

Sex offenders are also THE most likely to be repeat offenders.

Of course, it will just cause an increase in stolen license plates...

I like the "In God we trust" plate as long as it's optional...as far as the Ohio ones they are proposing...all I have to say on that is I bet no one ever asks to borrow his/her car!!

I think this will just add to all the Road Rage incidents. If you were driving behind a green licence plate, wouldn't you want to speed up and run him off the road?
