30 days no CC...what's next? help!

Hello VJ'ers!

Wanted to know if anyone could shed some light on my situation. We are on day 30 awaiting initial review of our AOS/IV packets.

Since it's past 30 days with no review whatsoever, do I request a Supervisor Review? I am a little confused because I do not have a checklist and am not sure if it's reserved for those with ones..it also seems like a dangerous place to be stuck in, especially when I do not have a checklist. Just waiting for the initial review...Very disheartening to see people speed through NVC with dates after mine, and for no reason whatsoever to be stuck in Supervisor Review for 42 days.

Any advice would be appreciated!

You shouldn't be disappointed as there are people including my self who despite more than 60 days have passed havent received any checklist or Case Complete letter. I have called them so many times talked with so many supervisors all they say is its under review so just keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best.

Regarding supervisor review well its a gamble i wont recommend this to you as you are already been on 42nd day so if now you opt for supervisor review it mean to restart the review time back to 30 days atleast so its your call.

I know the wait is horrible and when you're on day 30, you want to hear something now now NOW. :) But you should really count 30 days plus minus 5 days. Often, you won't hear something straight away, NVC don't update the system/send out checklists on a daily basis. Our checklist was issued June 18th (on day 30 of our review) but we didn't physically receive it on email until four days later.

Anonymous007 and I are part of a small group of people experiencing horrible delays at NVC. My husband and I have been on supervisor review since June 25th. I think it's been 100 days but we're not even keeping track of how long we've waited for this bloody supervisor now. I am totally with Anonymous007 on this one, supervisor review is a gamble. If you're lucky, you'll get a good supervisor and will be reviewed quickly. If you're unlucky, like Anonymous007 and I, you can be waiting for months to hear something. Plus you're only on day 30, if you get supervisor review, the clock starts over with 45 days.

If I were you, I'd wait till Monday morning to see if I hear something, before contacting NVC. Looking back, I wish we'd been a bit more patient and hadn't called NVC when we did because then I'd probably be moving over there by now. :(

Wow, so sorry to hear for both of you...did not realize at all that other people have been waiting so long for a simple set of eyes to look at their documents!

Thank you for the advice of -5 days...will take into consideration. Sounds like Supervisor review is a hole you do not really want to dig yourself into...it really has no rhyme or reason...

Fingers crossed for everyone! I feel in pain in my stomach for 30+ days and can't even imagine how you guys are feeling as well. Mala, good thing you got a Senator involved...maybe that's the next step you could take too, Anonymous.
