Hey guys, can NVC generate a check list wrongfully?!! We've got one for the the ds260 ( immigrant visa application form), but I've already filled it out online and sent a copy with our IV package. My husband is livid right now!! We have checked both packages for like a hundred times before mailing them. Our scan date was Sept.10.

Yes, sometimes automatically NVC gererates false checklist if by the time they look through your online application they didnt have your IV package arrived. So usually people here advice to call them and reassure what to do.

The option to see if they received mail, I think it was 3. I gave them my USCIS receipt number and asked if they have my case # and she said she didn't find anything in the system and asked me if I had the notice of approval and what date was on it. I told her the date was Sept 22nd and she said I have to wait 35 days and I said ok thanks!

Yes, that's a false checklist. It happens often when one package is reviewed (in your case, your AOS). Just ignore the checklist. They'll get to your IV package very soon.

OR

They've probably not yet received or processed your IV packet. Call NVC to check out wether that file has been received.

i got the same checklist. just disregard it, as long you sent the iv. it only means they just haven' t reviewed it yet. but just to be sure call, and verify. goodluck!!!

NVC scan date: August 26

Cas complete: October 5, 2015.

It was past due the 30 day mark and on the 31 day I called and they flagged it for supervisors review. This only took about 4 days for supervisor's review. If your past the 30 days call and ask them to have it reviewed

If you sent the packages, then get a checklist asking for one of the packages, just ignore it; it's a false checklist. Please understand that as soon as NVC reviews a package, they very frequently generate a checklist for the other package, without even checking if they have it in the building first.

The only time a checklist is real (and not false) is if it asks for something very specific missing in a package (like a police certificate, for example). If it asks for something general, like the entire package, then you can assume it's false. Call up an operator at NVC to confirm either way."

Your pic that you attached says you need to submit online DS-260. Most people say its a mistaken checklist in your case. They just looked at your IV documents without reviewing your online application.

You should call NVC - they will tell if its a mistake or you need to resend / resubmit something.

I'm just praying and hoping that's the case. Hubby has been trying to call NVC the whole morning trying to talk to a supervisor but They keep on putting him on hold ( the longest is an hour!) ???

They still can't access my file to review my DS-261

I just called NVC for the reason i cant sign in to the online payment for AOS. but then they ask me who wants to be my agent, and that would be the petitioner, ask for a birthdate and told me AOS and IV bill should be available soon. I asked when i should do the ds 261 review and she told me that we just did that over the phone. so i guess thats it for the choice of agent review and now waiting for aos and iv to get invoiced
