WOOHOO! Just received my IIN and Case #. I just filled out the DS261! I know I need to pay the fees next, but what comes after that? Can I go ahead and filled out the DS260 and get all the documentation together to send (and send). Or do I have to wait for the NVC to get back to me?

Congrats Tayjus93!!!

Congrats!!

well, I found this note

  • Note: if you're getting an error message ("Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time…" or "This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted…" or "You cannot make online payments for your case at this time. Please contact the NVC if you have questions or need further information."), do NOT panic. This is actually good news! If you just got your case number, then this message means NVC is inputting your case in their system. If you get this message a few days after case number generation, then it's a good possibility that NVC is invoicing your AOS bill. And if this message appears a few days after DS-261 acceptance, then there's a good chance the IV bill is being invoiced.

Hello folks :) My I-130 was approved on Sept 22nd. I just called the NVC just now with my USCIS receipt number and was told it's not appearing in their system yet and that I need to wait 35 days from the date of approval. I'm not going to do that, but will try again next week!

Sounds good.

Which option are you pressing?

2?

or 4?

And do you ask them for case number?

or you have not gotten that far without your receipt number?

CallMeShams, i called and ask to speak to a supervisor and the lady ask me to wait then she said i have a supervisor on the line so i told her that am at nvc since may . Congratulations!

That is amazing!

You should still submit a medical expedite..see if your interview can be expedited.

Hi all

Scan date 25th September, hoping the 3 week trend continues and we're case complete by end of next week. Might be too ambitious though!

No it is not. You got it! Keep the faith!

Hi, i have a question. I currently live with my Aunt and Uncle while I am in school (not working at all). They plan on sponsoring my husband since they make more than enough money. I looked over the I-864A, but it seems as if that is only for immediate relatives? Any advice? Thank you!

Aunt and Uncle is an immediate relative with whom you are living with, so they too should complete the I864A.

please help

how we figure out if we need a co sponsor or not?

Do we calculate the average income of the most recent 3 years and compare the result to the poverty guide line ??

No, only the recent year income counts.

Oh!!!

Our 2014 is below but the current and 2013 and 2012 are above !!!

Do we need a co sponosr ??

I heard you need to attach proof of income, letter from employer or bank statement about repeating income to show that you do good this year and now your salary is above the line. I`m not sure, but you could search for some additional information on this, if you want.

But the philosophy of NVC is "the more -the better". If you can, you should find a joint sponsor, so NVC would be absolutely satisfied.

Hey guys, can NVC generate a check list wrongfully?!! We've got one for the the ds260 ( immigrant visa application form), but I've already filled it out online and sent a copy with our IV package. My husband is livid right now!! We have checked both packages for like a hundred times before mailing them. Our scan date was Sept.10.
