So upset :( Our case is not completed yet. Apparently they are missing my police certificates and my birth certificate, which is just stupid!!! They were in the AOS package along with the marriage certifcate and 2 pictures of me!

We called NVC and asked to talk to a supervisor. The lady was nice and said that she will ask the people that reviewed our papers to re-open the file and see if the documents are completely missing or it's just something wrong with them.

I told her that i'm 110% sure that I sent those documents and that our case number is on every single paper, on the right top corner. She couldn't tell me though when to call back but i'm freaking calling tomorrow and will be bugging them.

Hubby is reading right now online that you can actually request for expedite if NVC are losing your papers. Any of you did that before? Did it work? I'm so disappointed right now :(

So sad for you!

How come, they said the case is sent to the embassy, and then you learn it is not complete? Makes no sense....

Hi, i have a question. I currently live with my Aunt and Uncle while I am in school (not working at all). They plan on sponsoring my husband since they make more than enough money. I looked over the I-864A, but it seems as if that is only for immediate relatives? Any advice? Thank you!

It seems like NVC mails out to the embassies at the end of the month, wonder what they have to do once your case is complete so that it makes the cut off to be mailed out in October. Praying for a CC next week!

Open this page and put down your NVC case and invoice #

https://ceac.state.gov/IV/IVSummary.aspx

After you pay your Affidavit of Support fee, and it is processed, its status will be showing as PAID. At the same page you will also see the buttons for Affidavit of Support Documents & Financial Evidence and Civil Documents showing N/A. When clicking them, you will be taken to the website, where you can obtain all the info on preparing documents for the NVC.

Once you send the docs and NVC reviews them, the AoS fee is supposed to show as N/A as well. That means, your case is complete.

That is not valid for all the cases, though. My Mom's case was complete on August 11th, she already has the interview date, but her AoS fee still shows as PAID.

They are supposed to send you an email, saying your documents are received. The date, stated in the email is your scan date. If there is no email in a week or so, call them and ask for the scan date.

WOOHOO! Just received my IIN and Case #. I just filled out the DS261! I know I need to pay the fees next, but what comes after that? Can I go ahead and filled out the DS260 and get all the documentation together to send (and send). Or do I have to wait for the NVC to get back to me?
