Well I'm quite happy. I've been calling almost everyday since I submitted my DS-261 on 10/19 when I got my case number. The case has always been locked and they kept saying to call back later. Finally last night I got an operator that seemed a lot more knowledgeable than the others who said she would forward my case to a supervisor to unlock and I could call back today. (It was right before closing last night so maybe no supervisor around at that point). I just got through today and it was unlocked so I got my choice of agent reviewed and am awaiting my IV fee->DS-260. I'm so happy to get that done so I won't have to call back until they review my documents.

Let the waiting game begins! :)

The question got me thinking cos i haven't done my medical yet. Please can someone explain to me? I'm stuck here. Thanks

How long does it take on average to send an approved case from USCIS (NSC) to NVC?

Our petition was approved a week and a half ago. I called NVC, they said they didn't receive it yet, and that it takes 35 days for an approved petition to reach them.

Seriously?

I don't know where they are getting these numbers from, but it really does vary.

Mine took 12 days to get there. Others have received their case number and invoice number in 30 days. Keep on calling.

The answer would be yes.

You will be getting that before the interview, that's what the medical exam is for.

Has anyone read of someone getting the 3 N/As and then getting a checklist or anything?

I don't know why they'd put me through in 8 days or whatever, honestly. I mean, I'll take it if they're giving it, but it worries me that something is weird and maybe I'll just get stuck here forever. (Everything worries me that maybe I'll just get stuck here forever, frankly!)

Maybe I will get an email from them.

Did you get a checklist? If not, don't worry! :) It's probably just a system glitch or something. If they didn't tell you over the phone that you have a checklist nor did they send you an email about that, then you should be fine. Just give them a call later on or maybe tomorrow morning, when they open the lines (i had a 4 mins waiting when I called at 6:59 am).

Yes, when I called NVC yesterday I was told it might take 35 days to forward the case to NVC, but we've got an update today! USCIS sent our case to NVC yesterday. I'm very pleased!

Petition was approved on October 19, and sent to NVC on October 28. :-)

Now the wait for it to get there, and get assigned a case number, begins.

Thank you. That is exactly what I saw this morning! Calling NVC now to confirm. Really happy!

Scan Date was Oct 2.

Now can I pay the IV fee or do I need to wait something from NVC ?
