OCTOBER 2015 NVC FILERS

Hello!

So I finally managed to get my call through at NVC and was informed that they haven´t received my case yet

Anyways, the attendant adviced me to scan our NOA2 and email it to nvcresearch@state.gov that we´d be emailed back as soon as they had our file and a case number + invoice. We´ve done that.

My question is: can I trust it or should I keep calling on a fdaily basis? It´s been 13 days since our case was approved at USCIS.

And does anyone know how long it´s taken for the process to arrive from California Service Center to NVC and then how many days until we have a case number assigned?

Unfortunately It's a wait from California to NVC. I received our NOA2 on 9/21 and NVC received on 10/8. Still waiting for Case number. I last called on 10/19 and still nothing. Hopefully your number will be assigned quicker than ours. I was so excited because we received our NOA2 in 48 days, but now we wait.

Hello all, I want to first say that my IV fee says paid! I paid for it on Saturday (the 17th) and today it says paid! I am about to sit down and do the DS-260

however I have a question about the supporting Documents package...

My husband is Canadian-- and from what I've read they want his 'long form birth certificate' (we have both the long and short form) Problem is... his long form is about 1.5 pages in length, therefore I can't just copy it at home on to one normal sheet. Should I...

A. Go to office max (etc.) and request a full length copy

B. Copy it on to 2 separate pages

C. Send copy of 'short' form

Please help, I don't want to have to resend anything. Thanks all. and good luck

My husband is also Canadian and although his isn't more than a page long, so I don't have any guidance as to how you should copy it. I can tell you don't send the "short form" NVC does want the "long form". I confirmed this with them.

Congrats looks like most of us with scan dates around the same time have gotten our case complete. Lets all pray that we get our interviews scheduled soon.

Congratulations. I am quite happy for you. I remember your barrage of questions in the early part of the process and now you are returning the favor by answering others questions lol.

You may be able to get the record should you be able to get an interview pretty soon, your case is moving super fast.

Oh yes certainly happy that we all have got our case completes. I've been on on this journey for over a year and I seem to have become comfortable with the wait, so yes the waiting is feeling surely fine. I have adjusted to the idea that nothing happens before its time and try to live by this so I don't get discouraged. 4 months till interview seems long but anything is possible so it could be sooner.

To all of us waiting hoping that we get great news soon and will be with our loved ones for the holidays.

Exactly what I told my hubby that I do not really wish to live in the US.

Yeah, he calls daily. He got transferred to a supervisor but still can't speak with any yet. I'm F2a and would be current by January 2016, my PD is 14th, July 2014. Why am not really bothered yet is becos I'm pregnant and will be due by same January 2016.

Ohhh, that's great! I love kids Then even more, don't stress about it and just take it easy. You don't wanna "hurt" the little one with the stress, frustration and all the rest. Hope you get your CC soon though! Best of luck and keep us updated!

Hi bond1980! No, my case is not closed yet, unfortunately!

So, we are also on supervisor review and after waiting for almost 2 weeks for them to find our "missing" documents, we decided to send them again anyways. We thought that what if after 42 days they will tell us that they couldn't find our documents? It will be 42 days wasted for nothing! So, we sent again the police certificates and my birth certificate (these were the "missing" files) and on the 14th they received them. I assume that reseted our scan date, again! Our first scan date was 9th of September and now it's 14th of October. My husband will call tomorrow morning and see if he can get a supervisor on the line and he is planning to ask for expedite, since it was their fault that they lost our documents.

I can't tell you honestly what's the best thing to do, but from our point of view it was better to just send them the papers again and wait for 30 days for them to process again our case and hopefully get a CC.

Hii..finally able to get chance talk to supervisor today..and he said i will look into your file and will let you know by monday..when i asked should i send again pcc he said do not send anything..so i hope he will close my case by monday...did you ever talk to supervisor or just CR?
