File received by NVC on oct 13.... And Im starting to feel like a pest calling NVC everyday for a Case # and Invoice #! Its as if they dont even check to see if case is actually created. They just tell me "your file was received Oct 13 and it may take 45 days for a case to be created" as soon as I give my receipt #???. Is there something specific I should be saying to get this info? I am soooo desperate to move on and have my Aos, Civil docs package, and fee payments ready to go!

Looking at others timelines it is currently averaging around 12 days from NVC receiving your case until a case # is generated. So hang in there.

I think the basic answer is given if they don't have anything else to tell you. If the number is there, they'll give it to you. If not, they'll tell you this generic junk.

Hi. Our I-130 was approved on August 31, forwarded to the NVC on September 14, and received by NVC on September 18. We received the hardcopy notification on October 6 (4 sheets all in all. 1 sheet is the welcome letter stating the NVC case number and the invoice ID number)

We got a letter in the mail with the case number and some information, four weeks after NVC received the file (and two weeks after we had it over the phone).

I think I would call anyway, in case there's something they can do.

Thank you, this is promising. I will continue to call but just wanted to be sure that an actual letter is infact generated.

Has anyone actually received notification from the NVC with your case number....ever?

I have been calling and they keep telling me the same thing. Just wondering if this notification that they tell you about actually happens.

They received mine on the 24th of September, I didn't receive my case # until the 5th of October. Then on the 10th I got the hardcopy in the mail. Hang in there

Right? It took as long for NVC to get it as it took for the CSC to review the thing! :P Win some, lose some I guess.

I was upset but I started thinking along the win some lose some lines. Quite a few got stuck at the Texas Service Center with some crazy delays.

Hopefully your NVC process will move along pretty well too.

Good morning all,

I paid IV bill 6 days ago and status still shows in process. Do I need to call? I figure if I do they will say give it 30 days per script.

thanks

Im right up there with you. Paid IV bill on 10/12 and funds were withdrawn from my bank on 10/14.

I get the sense that the NVC might be getting bogged down...seems like processes are taking somewhat longer than in summer.

If you do call the NVC, I would be very curious as to what they say.

I called and they stuttered and stammered a bit and said it sometimes takes 7 business days. I said "everything I have read says 2-3 business days" he said nope, 7. So that was my call.

It could depend on your bank? Do you bank with a smaller credit union or something? Maybe the type of account you have or limits/security on your account possibly?

Good stuff! Congrats!

Which should mean mine will show PAID soon.

If it doesn't show PAID by tomorrow, I'll start dialing.

I honestly don't think it is a coincidence. It seems like after people call (especially if they are over the estimated times) they get good news very shortly afterwards. But congrats either way on being one step closer!
