Scan date Sept.10 but still no CC!! Our case is under supervisor's review because of the false checklist my husband received from NVC!! Anybody on the same boat ? I'm about to have a major breakdown!!

Yuppp, same here! Well, not exactly the same. Scan date, 9th of Sept and got checklisted because they managed to lose our documents :) We got put on supervisor review on the 4th of Oct, after we complained that it's not fair to get checklisted for their mistake. Of course, we are still waiting for them to find our documents but in the meantime we did send another set of documents.

Honestly, you freaking out it won't help solve your case sooner. Just calm down, call them on Monday and insist to talk to the supervisor that is handling your case. Explain what's the situation and see what they will say.

Don't get me wrong, i'm also pissed off and was in a bit of a depression the week after the checklist, but being like that it aint helping with anything. Just makes things worse. So, relax, take a deep breath and don't worry! We are close to the finish line :)

When sending your IV documents, the Police Certificate in particular... Did you also send the "Finger printed pages" or only the "Police Certificate" ?

Thanks

Yes Solzz, i did sent it along with the police character certificate. But i don't think it will pose any problem if don't , but just to be on a safe side.

The DOS website asks for photocopies of civil certificates. Did you guys send certified copies of marriage and birth certificates for the IV package? Or photocopies will do?

For my mom's case I sent non-certified photocopies. That was enough, her case was complete with no checklists.

For Canada, they ask for photocopies/scans of civil documents at NVC stage and you have to bring your original documents with you to the interview. I'm not sure if that's the case for you?

Thanks! Yeah photocopies seems to be the general consensus.

I spoke with a NVC rep last week and he told me photocopies are fine for Pakistan, and the Pak forum here has that consensus too. I'm not sure either though, as have heard of people getting checklists due to non certified copies, however a lot of these cases were from before Nov 2014 ( when the policy requires originals at NVC changed)

Seems the California service center is fast with reviewing the I-130 but slow with sending it out to the NVC. It is kind of interesting.

Right? It took as long for NVC to get it as it took for the CSC to review the thing! :P Win some, lose some I guess.

We got a letter in the mail with the case number and some information, four weeks after NVC received the file (and two weeks after we had it over the phone).

I think I would call anyway, in case there's something they can do.
