Still can't get my DS-261 reviewed (it will be 2 weeks on Monday), they flagged me for supervisor to get it unlocked.

While I'm happy that so many are getting CC (yay theskeets! who filed when I did!) it's discouraging when people who filed when you did go zooming on while you're just barely turning over.

I just hope this isn't one of the "add 42 days" supervisor things...I didn't ask for it, the lady just said oh let me bla bla.

Cross your fingers for me.

Yes keep calling. I just got the DS-261 yesterday after calling the NVC almost everyday. It took 13 days.

got 3 N/A today¡! scan date sept 15.

these 3 N/A you speak of... is it DS-261, AOS fee, and IV fee?

I'm guessing they signal the completing of the case.

My question is, do they just happen altogether, suddenly? or slowly over time? ..like, 1 at a time?

Can someone give me a reality check regarding the AOS package.

I own two small businesses. They are incorporated as C corporations. I took no additional income (such as bonuses and dividends) from my business EXCEPT regular salary and wages (so no additional schedules were filed).

Therefore, I am an EMPLOYED as opposed to SELF-EMPLOYED ... is this correct?

No.

Unless your C corporations file quarterly payroll tax returns and deduct ss, medicare and estimated income tax on your behalf and issue you a w-2 form. Otherwise, you are self employed.

No.

Luckily, that is exactly what my C corporations do...all of which are documented on the payroll stubs, W-2s and income tax forms.

I'm now concerned that I might confuse them. I sent them three tax returns. The first two years, one of my businesses was a sole proprietorship. Hopefully my explanatory letter will clarify things but who knows.

Definitely, productive.

If I were not calling them, I would still be waiting for my NOA-2 to arrive to start my NVC process.

BTW, I have not received any paper mail from NVC, just emails.

I had the same experience 2 days ago. The agent said the file was locked but she took my info and said she would request a supervisor unlock and update. It didn't happen so I called back today and they were able to review the DS-261. So I would just keep calling.

Yes keep calling. I just got the DS-261 yesterday after calling the NVC almost everyday. It took 13 days.

Has anyone else noticed that on the summary information page when logging into your case it no longer says it will take NVC 30 days to review your docs but rather 2 to 4 weeks.I guess we now know why the influx of 3 week reviews which is great for us all still waiting on our case complete.

We've been flagged for supervisor's review because of the false checklist we received.So add 42 more days to our 30 days of waiting!! our scan date was Sept. 10!!!! So frustrating !!!! ??

Hello!

I have a question - i have DS 260 opened for filling and there`s a question if you ever applied for Social Security Card - you should put a number there. I was in the USA in 2005 on student visa J1 (Work and Travel Programm). I was given a SSC with a note Valid for work only with DHS authorization on my maden name.

I have heard that non-citizens can`t get a SSN and that paper I have is Tax Identity card for tax payers.

Any ideas? Is that a real SSN? Or I sould ask for another SSN and card at my application?

You should put the amount you earned in 2014 which you can confirm by IRS documents. This year income only shows you continue working currently, but not the amount of income.
