Something weird happened to our ceac page today. The button CHOICE OF ADDRESS & AGENT (DS-261) which had been showing COMPLETED for about 3 weeks, suddenly changed to INCOMPLETE. I simply clicked it and saved all the information and signed it again. Now it shows COMPLETE.

But what could have happened? Is it going to cause the delay in our case?

Just called NVC. They said, that INCOMPLETE button was just the glitch of the website. No delays or issues should be expected.

Thank you- yes, I was hoping we would get the review just at the 30day mark as you did, but no such luck!

The most frustrating part is that I was told by a rep on Monday that my documents were pulled for review and to expect an email in 7 days or call back later in the week to check to update...then the rep today said that rep was incorrect..I'm reaching out to a state Senator because I've relied on the promises of NVC, received conflicting updates and am met with resistance to transfer the call to a supervisor.

I did find the conflicting information from the reps to be very frustrating. The senator can normally get a pretty good status from NVC as to what is going on.

I hope they get their act together soon so it won't be too long of a delay. They said 30 days and they should follow through with that.

yesterday the payment status for AOS changed to paid. I called to review DS-261 and register my email and was told my case was locked because it was still processing? I had the impression that once AOS showed paid they could update the file.

I have seen different opinions from different people on the forums... On the 5th I completed my DS261 and paid the AoS fee. Some people say to go ahead and send in the financial document packet and Supporting document packet, before paying the IV fee and filing the DS260. Others say to wait and pay the fee and fill put DS260, then send packets... what is the correct way?

I asked the same question to the NVC agent and she told me as long as they both have a cover sheet attached. I asked if it was ok to use the same cover sheet generated by paying the AOS and she said yes.

Does anyone know where I can find information on expediting our i-130? My husband, the beneficiary, just lost his job. Does this qualify for an expedite? We received our NOA2 but have not yet received any information from NVC.

Unfortunately, I doubt this would make your case qualify for expediting :(

I believe, it never hurts to apply. They might deny, but it's better to try anyway.

Do people get put on the NVC blacklist if you call them too much? I mean that semi-seriously.

My I-130 scan date was Sept. 25th. I filled out the D-261 and paid the AOS fee immediately. A couple of days later, I started to call the NVC almost daily to get my Choice of Agent reviewed but they keep telling me call back a week later.

What gives? Seems like so many got their IV invoiced a few days after paying the AOS bill.

It took us 3 weeks to get ours and we have to call.

But I think it taking a week is pretty normal. But it seems to be different for everyone.

I just called NVC. The women I spoke to still can't see if they have our documents. We sent them by email at night on September 7th, so call it September 8th. She told me she is not sure if they got them. She said she asked a supervisor and they can't see them. She said to give it a bit more time or I can resend them. Or even resend them by mail. But then we have just lost 30 days for nothing. She told me to wait till the end of next week.

I don't know what to do at this point. It will be 30 days tomorrow. If they never even got them we just wasted a whole month for nothing.
