I've been waiting and waiting and still no case complete. My scan date is 12th Aug or 21st Aug whatever you want to consider. I am under supervisor review since 21st Sept now, still nothing. I found out the supervisor hasn't requested my case file for herself, but has sent a request to the department of review to review it. And nobody knows how long that will take. Neither has my ds-260 been reviewed. On top of that, my husband's name that NVC misspelled still hasn't been corrected and I'm guessing it will need to go into another department for review. I have no idea what to do or how to go on anymore. I've been calling to speak to my supervisor, but no luck as of yet. I see everyone getting November interviews already and here I am not even sure if my case will be completed before November. Gosh I have zero strength left in me. Nothing is working. Calling NVC, not calling, waiting, talking to supervisors, nothing. Nothing has been working.

Greetings Urvashi,

The NVC seems to be busy scheduling interviews. While they do not they seem to forget about document reviews and sometimes they seem to misplace or lose people's documents.

Has the senator been able to put in an inquiry for your case?

When y'all call NVC to check if you have an IIN yet, do you do any more than just ask if the have given you one yet? Is there any number to press or a person to talk to in order to have it expedited? It seems like some people make progress by calling so much. Is that true? I know it hasn't been long since they recieved my case and I know I will probably have alonger wait, I just want to know if calling NVC is productive and advances anything or if it is simply just calling and checking

Thanks :)

Something weird happened to our ceac page today. The button CHOICE OF ADDRESS & AGENT (DS-261) which had been showing COMPLETED for about 3 weeks, suddenly changed to INCOMPLETE. I simply clicked it and saved all the information and signed it again. Now it shows COMPLETE.

But what could have happened? Is it going to cause the delay in our case? I am going to call them, but I am busy now, and there is no way to get through to them at this time of the day...

Can anyone assuage my worries, before I get the chance to speak with them?

Hello I am not sure this is the case in this particular situation, however I have referenced a note from the NVC process wikki which addresses this. I have not heard of the DS261 changing from "complete to incomplete" and what if any effect this may have. Hopefully some more experienced members can shed some light and we just have a few more days to go till we get our case complete.

*Important note: Once you fill in the DS-261 and it shows as complete, do NOT go back into the DS-261 as it will re-set the date and start the clock all over again for ~30 business days.

I do know that once you fill it out you shouldn't click on it again and that makes it start over.

It is possible that you clicked it by mistake and it reset it?

Had they already reviewed it? I would call them because I am not sure what issues it could cause later.

Hello everyone.. I have a question. Why do we have to call NVC for the case number and invoice numbEr? I mean on noa2 they tell you that NVC will send details within 30 days.. So Should we wait for that or keep calling them and bothering them? Lol I don't know. Please help me out people

I think I can relate to getting to moving quickly and then there is a slow down in the progress. I think there was one person who got a complete 5 days after going on supervisor review. I thought I had the NVC figured out but it is so arbitrary. Hoping you get the case complete soon.

Thank you- yes, I was hoping we would get the review just at the 30day mark as you did, but no such luck!

The most frustrating part is that I was told by a rep on Monday that my documents were pulled for review and to expect an email in 7 days or call back later in the week to check to update...then the rep today said that rep was incorrect..I'm reaching out to a state Senator because I've relied on the promises of NVC, received conflicting updates and am met with resistance to transfer the call to a supervisor.

Oh no, so frustrating. This Supervisor Review for the initial set of documents is outrageous. Not to mention the thought of potentially having a checklist and getting set back another 60 days in addition to the potential 42. I was tricked into this Supervisor Review also (though the rep assured me it was a positive thing...I remain doubtful!). Please keep us updated on your status and still wishing you the best of luck!

I think we do that to push the process a little. For example, after my mother's case approval, which I didn't care about, I only received the letter from NVC with the case # in 2 months... I didn't want to wait as long with my husband's process, so, I started calling them, and the case # was available in 4 less than weeks after the approval.
