So frustrated!! Not sure what is happening but we got a checklist today. Our scan date was Sep 16 and we were so hoping for an early CC. Wondering if there is a possibility that NVC may have generated an unnecessary checklist? We submitted a tax transcript that we requested from the IRS for our sponsor. The checklist they generated asked us to submit: the I-864 Checklist and the W-2 for our sponsor. Why are they asking us for the W-2? The instructions specifically said not to submit that if we're submitting the tax transcript! Are we mistaken? Please help us figure this out, I'm super upset now :( Thanks guys!

Hi guys, I am about to call NVC to get case number and IID, I see some timelines which have the agent registration email line. Can someone explain that for me? I think DS-261 is about agent address and email, why do we need to register another agent email? Thanks alot

Hello everyone!! I was approved on 2nd October and hopefully my case soon will be at NVC... Just wanted to get a rough idea on how long does it take from NVC process to final interview? Thanks :)

It depends from consulate to consulate. It usually takes longer for busier embassies who have a backlog compared to the less busier ones of course. Your interview should be usually scheduled within 2-3 weeks of your case complete date. Hope this helps! :)

The same date as mine, and also another package NVC got last Monday on 5th.

Still no scan date, and my husband called them today and got the answer - in 7 business days, so maybe tomorrow......

But I join your optimistic mood with pleasure!!

My NVC scan date is also Monday the 5th and I got the scan email last Thursday. You should call them at least once a day as each representative has a different answer which sounds absurd but that is what I found from my experience so far. Also, some are more helpful than others!

Yeeeeee !!!!!

It usually says Tax Transcript or W2's but I think it is always safer to send them everything just to make sure there's no checklist. Nothing can be too much information with them! Also, do you remember if you sent a Tax Return Transcript or a Tax Account Transcript? They usually need the Return Transcript and I was initially confused when organizing my package.

So once you have your Case Number and IIN, you should be able to log in to CEAC and fill out the DS-261 and also pay the AOS fee. Once you fill out the DS-261, they can take a few weeks to review it if you let it be. What I did and also most others do is, after filling out the DS-261, you keep calling them once a day and ask them to review it over the phone with you. It speeds up the process and creates your IV invoice faster too that way. Once it is reviewed over the phone, you should receive an email within 24-48 hours confirming the agent that you have chosen. THAT email is the agent registration line you're asking about. Hope this answers your query! :)
