Pakistan October/November Case Complete and Interviews

As far as Pakistan, it seem most people get interview date within a month and average wait time between your case close date and the interview date is 60-70 days.

ZackB, once you got approval, did they keep your passport at the interview?What else did they keep? I think they give you back the originals right?

How long does it take for you to get the passport back with the VISA? Are there any conditions on the visa?

ZackB, once you got approval, did they keep your passport at the interview?What else did they keep? I think they give you back the originals right?

How long does it take for you to get the passport back with the VISA? Are there any conditions on the visa?

They do give you back your original documents (Birth Certificate, Urdu Nikkah Nama).

They keep the passport with them, only item they will keep from you.

If you are approved then the visa is issued within a week but they will tell you 2 weeks.

Restrictions on visa that I am aware of is that if you are married for less than 2 years then you get what's called conditional green card which is valid for 2 years. You can then renew it before the 2 years are up and have that condition removed from your green card.

Since you haven't filled out your timeline I am not sure about your visa type. Please fill out the timeline it helps other folks also.

Interview scheduled for December 9, just confirmed over the phone.

Consulate: Islamabad, Pakistan.

1. August 28 - Submitted Ds-260.

2. September 02 - Mailed AOS & Civil Documents to NVC via FEDEX.

3. September 03 - Fedex tracking shows package delivered.

4. September 04 - NVC scanned the package, confirmed over the phone with NVC helpline.

5. September 05 - Received NVC acknowledgment email, stating to give 30 days to review documents.

6. September 25 - NVC REVIEWED DOCUMENTS AND THE CASE WAS COMPLETED in 22 days (confirmed over the phone).

7. October 22 - Interview scheduled for December 9.
