Hi. My fiance just sent a petition yesterday October 21, 2015 to Texas Service Center. I wanna ask, is it gonna be a problem if he sent a money order only writing down that it's a check for U.S. Department of Homeland Security, he forgot to put a short description of what that payment is for. And we just noticed yesterday that the letter of intent that I sent him had no zip code written to the Service Center it's gonnabe sent to. It has the address itself just not including the zipcode. Please help ? Thanks to whoever is gonna reply back.

I don't have experience with the check so maybe someone else with knowledge can give you advice. Right now all I can say is wait for them to cash the check and if it cleared all right then there's no problem but again I have no experience with that.

As for the letter of intent it is all right if you missed the zip code, you have written the remaining address correctly and it clearly states who it is addressed to. I don't think they would issue an RFE due to a missing zip code on the letter of intent.

I am still in the middle of my process and haven't experienced any issues yet but from what I have read on multiple forums, little mistakes do happen but they don't issue RFE for every single one. If they do need anything, they will send an RFE. Just be careful in future.

I am kind of nervous/excited since my mother, sister (maid of honor), and I are meeting with the wedding planner at the place we are planning on holding the wedding this weekend! (Fiance may join us via skype! haha)

Still haven't received an NOA-2 but so far the planner has been very understanding. Apparently his brother is also marrying someone from a foreign country so he understands the uncertainty of the process and has offered to hold a date for us without a cash deposit so far!

Are any of you making wedding plans yet? Our tentative date is set for the 29th of July, and as long as the NOA-2 arrives before the end of November (which it should) we should be fine if everything after runs smoothly.

I would suggest filling out your timeline.

At the bottom they will give you an estimate of when you should expect to receive your NOA-2.

If that time has passed they suggest actually contacting USCIS and asking for an update.

Although this list is not completely accurate, if you scroll down to the bottom and see people with NOA1 date of 24 sept, you will see that although a few did get their NOA2, many are still waiting. By looking at that list I would say yours is right around the corner. Some lucky people do get it a little early than others, probably because their case is straight forward or went to an officer who is very efficient or many other reasons.

U can call USCIS but they would tell you that your case is still within processing times but you can give it a try. Good luck

if you under CSC your lucky i read in the group in fb .. some takes 3 or 5 months ...

but K1 visa is normaly 3 to 6 months processing... so no need to worry

FYI there are still more than 100 I-129F cases to be reviewed from the 24th, and there were 13 NOA2's and 7 RFE's from the 28th of sep. (the next business day following the 25th). So yes, there is really no exact order for the cases to be reviewed.

We are hoping next week is our lucky week to get our NOA2!!! :luv:

It's "6 Got a RFE" NOT approved RFE

Sorry for the mistake. Tried ti fix it but couldn't
