It will take 7 - 10 days business for NVC to receive your file from USCIS after you receive the NOA2, then another 2 - 5 business days for NVC to get your file in there system and get the case # from

I wished Mexico was as fast as the Philippines :clock:

Oh well. I'll have to wait for my February interview.

Hey guys, since you guys are ahead of me, and have been through the process already, just wanted some tips, my status at NVC now says "Ready".

I'm thinking my next step now is do the DS-160 and pay the fees, then just wait for consulate to receive my case or P3 to arrive from the consulate in Fiance's country.

We will do the DS160 over the weekend, and I'll have him to call the Guangzhou consulate on Monday to see if it arrived.

Just an update on our case. Lucky enough Rio doesn’t do package 3, but I did get an email from the embassy yesterday saying they have our case. Package 4 is considered all the documents she has to bring to the embassy. My fiancé will pick up her medical exams on Monday(21st). And we should be ready for interview!

Exactly in 3 weeks its interview date :joy::wub::rolleyes::jest::dance:

I emailed the embassy telling them that my petition was sent by the NVC the 25th november and that they received it the 1st december and they answered me saying this:

"We still havent received the Electronic file yet "

Can someones tell me what does this mean?? I thought they only need my petition so they can send me the Packet 3 ect...!!

we filed for K1 october 2nd, two weeks ago got USCIS approval and will be hearing from NVC in New Hampshire any minute now,... they asked us to wait from two to four weeks. Once the paperwork is in NVC you no longer have a tracking number... it's just waiting for a response and instructions about embassy procedures apparently.

You can peek at my timeline to see an update. I think my packet was mailed on the 16th, but it may have been mailed on the 14th. I am not 100% sure as there is a DHL package on both days. However, the one on the 14th was out for delivery at noon Jakarta time and then was put on "hold" at 5:45pm. I hope (for my or someone else's sake) that it just means they didn't reach the embassy in time to deliver it and they will try again Monday.

I was hoping for more movement before Xmas, but I think we would be very lucky to hear from the embassy by Thursday.

Hmmm still no consulate letter for us i live further north though. Maybe slightly longer to get to connecticut. I hope i get it soon.

Hey we got our letter from the consulate today. I have a renewed view at the Mexican post it took only a week for it to arrive from Ciudad Juarez to Florida. Not bad at all!!
