If you have been truthful with answers within all your documentation and you have the required documents for the interview (check the Embassy website that you will be processing through) and your documents show that you have a bonified relationship, then you will not have a problem. The funny thing is, the interview takes about 5 min in a busy Embassy and afterwards your going to say to yourself, I busted my tail and had sleepless night for all of this that only took 5 minuets. Hi Jannina let me know when you guys get yours I told my fiancee to expect hers any day now.. I emailed the embassy on 12/7..No reply as of yet so they must be busy and of course I am waiting for her to get her passports so I can get the appointment....

Thanks, I know we have been truthful and that there is no reason to worry - won't stop me tho lol

We got our consulate letter today!!!!!

It's dated December 7.

Hey we got our letter from the consulate today. I have a renewed view at the Mexican post it took only a week for it to arrive from Ciudad Juarez to Florida. Not bad at all!!

a quick question about the NVC...will the USCIS status update with information when NVC receives our case?

Or will we just know by calling or receiving mail from them?

You will have to call NVC. You usually start calling after 10 business days. I called on the 10th business day and they informed me that they already had a case number a day before for me. So we got our case number 9 business days.

You will eventually received a letter in the mail from NVC saying they sent your package to the embassy, but it takes a while.

You can do either as it has no bearing on anything except it has to be completed prior to the interview. Your choice.

I just checked NVC today, the status changed to "In Transit" and says "Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center."

I am a little confused, so they set our interview date already??

Just an update on our case. Lucky enough Rio doesn’t do package 3, but I did get an email from the embassy yesterday saying they have our case. Package 4 is considered all the documents she has to bring to the embassy. My fiancé will pick up her medical exams on Monday(21^st). And we should be ready for interview!

Exactly in 3 weeks its interview date

I am not up to speed on the process for China. I would recommend that you visit the sub-forum for China and post your question as there are many experts there that have already completed their processing and can answer your question first hand.

Second suggestion is to got to the Embassy website that you will be processing through and read what information they have there.

It always says that, It is a default message.

Each country does it differently, you need to check with your embassy on the procedure(check their website)
