My embassy in Mumbai has received my case. I am just waiting for my passport to arrive, which should be some time next week. If there is someone here with experience with the Mumbai Embassy, please let me know if there is anything I should take care of. Also, is there any separate forum for the Mumbai embassy?

It will take 7 - 10 days business for NVC to receive your file from USCIS after you receive the NOA2, then another 2 - 5 business days for NVC to get your file in there system and get the case # from

Hi guys I just want to ask, how long did yall get the case number from nvc since after NOA2 got approved? I got approved last week and it would be ok to start calling today or should I wait till next week? Thanks to those who can answer :)

We got our NOA2!! Just checked the USCIS website and the status finally changed to approved! Yay :joy::joy:

We got our approval too, they must have had a load of them after the holiday. =)

Anyone here who hasn't received NOA2 yet?

We got our NOA1 on Oct 19 and still havent heard anything :(

I am getting worried since there are so many people that filed later than us and already got approval....

So frustrating....

I feel the exact same way. Our noa1 was 10/20 and nothing yet from USCIS. This waiting is driving me crazy.

It will go directly to case being approved unless they need more documents then it will show request for additional evidence

Your status will remain as "Case was received" until it is either "Approved", "RFE" or "Rejected"

During the time I was waiting and checking the status I saw that when cases are rejected it is very fast. So if it is taking time it is either and approval or a RFE. Either case it means you are still on your way.

Our approval took 37 days.

Same here, our NOA1 was October 15, we've been waiting for exactly 47 days as of today :( I'm hoping it would come any day.. but it's still frustrating.....

My case is finally approved on 11.30!!!

It came too sudden lol, I have been expecting it for the longest and it just came now, I feel it's so unreal now but I wanted to share it here!!!

I didn't get text/email yet, just went to the app to routinely check 500 case statuses, then I saw mine was approved, couldn't believe it at first.

Anyways!!! Onto the next waiting period for NVC#!

There is a sub-forum for India. Go to Forums and scroll down about half way and you should see sub-forum list.

Go over to your Embassy and look for instructions and what documents are required for your processing.

Wait 2 weeks as that is usually when NVC will receive your file.

Same here, our NOA1 was October 15, we've been waiting for exactly 47 days as of today :( I'm hoping it would come any day.. but it's still frustrating.....

I think the applications on Mid October are finally moving. Let's wait for ours! :)
