To AS&JS: I think most of the K1s go to CSC but you have to wait for the letter to confirm it. My notification said to wait 7-10 day for the letter so I guess thats the time it will take. When did you send your petition?

Yeah I should get it soon. I mailed sep 28th. They received sept 30th.. I called and they gave me a case number this morning.. so the letter should arrive soon.

Also hoping for a quick NOA-2 response!

Just curious, have any of you been able to check your status with your receipt number yet? I was hoping since I got the paper copy today I would be able to but there still doesn't seem to be anything there yet...

Just a note (I have not filed yet will be a dec filer) from what I have read no K-1's will be sent to TSC as they are backlogged and I'm not sure if they will be sent there anymore as CSC is so efficient. That is what I have read on threads on this forum so I don't have anything official to confirm this.

WOW you got the Hard copy very quick!! Hopefuly we will get ours between today and tomorrow.

Are you checking in MyUSCIS? We got our email notification on sept. 30 and every since then I have been able to check our status in both the webpage and the app.

You need to put the full receipt number (3 letters and 10 numbers).

Hey congratulation on getting one step closer. We got our text and email notification today and it say that we should wait till we receive a hard copy to check the status. Maybe give it a day or two for the update to show up. There is nothing much to do except to wait.

I have been checking myUSCIS with the WAC********** number I was given in the original email. I figured it wasn't showing me much because I hadn't received a hard copy yet, (the email itself says they encourage you to wait as I am sure you know!) but now that I have received the letter I am a little concerned that there still isn't anything there..

QueenMorgie don't worry. That is exactly what should appear in your case status in the stage you are at. The NOA1 only states that they received your petition. It is until the NOA2 is sent that your status should change to APPROVED. That is when your case is sent to the NVC to start the process of the K1-VISA. The NOA2 usually takes from 3 to 5 months, but we are in a lucky moment because CSC is processing the NOA2 in a record time of 2 to 3 weeks according to the estimate timeline here in VJ.

At this stage patience is the key! You are in good shape so far. The only thing to worry at this point is to get a RFE (Request of evidence) since this means something is missing in your petition, and you will be expected to send more documents to CSC. This would take time and postpone the approval of the petition (NOA2).

If you want you can call the USCIS National Customer Service Center 1-800-375-5283, with your receipt number they should be able to give you more information on your status

Thank you very much! I guess I was for some reason misled to think there would be more of an actual status shown haha.

I noticed how fast CSC has been churning out approvals and was really excited to see I was forwarded there. Hopefully things will continue to go quickly. I have been a little worried since so many people have been forwarded there recently. I had heard that they originally just started forwarding applications there since the TSC was swamped and really behind, so I am hoping the CSC doesn't get bogged down as well!

I saw someone who claimed to have received it 11 days after their NOA-1 letter (I-797 receipt). They were filed at CSC.

Not sure how accurate that actually is, but it was fairly recently.

Browsing the timelines is pretty helpful for finding this sort of information.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up that high, but it does seem like the process is going pretty quickly over in Cali!

I've read that the estimate that the VJ Timeline gives you once you have put your Service Center and date of NOA1, is pretty accurate.

Well my estimate was for February or March, so I'm hoping it's a little earlier than that, but we will see!

I got my photo album back today for some reason it was "too big" for my file. I maybe exaggerated in the pictures but come one they want proof right. This is frustrating! I am still looking out for the hard copy since I received the text and email last Thursday.
