Whoo Hoo just checked the app and we got approved. I was on the phone with my fiance and he said he didn't receive an email or text yet, but I would expect it to be sent tomorrow (Are government offices open on Veteran's Day?)

We got our NOA2 hard copy in the mail today!!!

Next week we will start calling the NVC. Yei!!!

YAY! Our petition got approved last night. I was looking at all of the approvals, and was like awww our NOA1 date was slightly earlier. Then I rechecked the myUSCIS for the second time that day and there was our approval!

My fiance is also from Mexico, Tampico though. Time to start figuring out all of our next steps.

I think I stated that I am not very familiar with the processing through Mexico but having said that I was wondering if something like what we (Philippines) can use to bypass the waiting game till "the letter" arrives with using a copy of the interview confirmation letter/email/webpage printout, OR the NVC letter OR a screen print from CEAC with your case #. It works for us in the Philippines.

I found someone in a different forum that shared a photo of the letter. It says you need to bring it with you to the interview. If you haven't gotten it because of the poor postal service in Mexico, you can ask for a copy in the consulate, but that is in Ciudad Juarez (a 3hr flight away from Mexico City) and means I would need to do the biometrics and the medical there too (maybe a whole week there) and not in Mexico City, which would mean a lot of travel expenses that we would rather not have.

In the consulate web page I read that you also need to show the letter when you go to the biometrics appointment and to the medical examination. For both of them you need to show also a copy of the interview confirmation (they need both). So showing up with just one of them might not be enough. They are very strict about this things in the US embassy in Mexico.

We will have to see. So far we have been very lucky and everything has been smooth. Let's hope we get the letter with no trouble.

We got our NOA-2 on October 31, and tried calling the NVC Monday, November 9, and they said they hadn't received our case (no surprise really..I was a little eager). From what I've seen from other's experiences, it's usually 20 days between NOA-2 and when the NVC receives your case

When I finallyyyy got on the line with someone they told me they received my case and were entering it into the system.

I asked how long I should expect it to take to enter and the guy I talked to said "four to two days".

At first I thought he said 42 days and was a little thrown off haha. Weird to start a range with the higher of the numbers, saying 2-4 would have made more sense.

I am going to call again Friday night, but yes the estimate of 20 days sound pretty accurate.

Just a heads up, you most likely will NOT receive an email or text about the NOA-2. No one I have talked to did.

The G-1145 you filled out to be notified by text and/or email was just for notification of when the USCIS receives your petition.

We did get an e-notification of "approval" of the NOA2 last Thursday right before the app sent me a notification
