Just out of curiosity- what's the big deal of getting the NOA1 hard copy? Is this just for peace of mind- or is there some relevance to it? It seems that once you get the eNotification that this should be adequate enough.

The Big Deal of the Hard Copy is that it is used for you to verify your personal information that the USCIS has registered regarding your case (like name, address, date of birth, etc.). It also provides the information on the payment for the petition. If any of your information isn't correct, it gives you the phone numbers to notify the errors to the USCIS.

The e-notification only provides you the receipt number.

I have found in the Case Tracker app some cases that had adjustments in the name or the date of birth, among other things. This adjustments may be because they found in their hard copies mistakes that had to be corrected.

And of course it also provides the Receipt Number (which you also get in the e-notification).

I see! Thanks. Still no eNotification for me yet. I have been checking my bank account daily to see if the check has posted yet. I suppose that once they do that, it is a promising sign!

My fiance sent the petition to Texas on October 22 and it arrived on October 23. He's from South Carolina, I'm from the Philippines. We're still waiting on NOA1. I hope our processing times are all fast. Every single one of us knows how terrible the feeling is of being too far away from the one we love, I feel so miserable not being able to be with him. Godbless to everyone going through ane about to go through this petitioning process.

I think the eNotification doesn't have the receipt #. You need the receipt # so you can check the status on the uscis website.

Both the text and email e-notifications do have the receipt number. At least they did for me... The difference is that notice date which is the correct date to use for estimating when your case will be decided, as well as information verification as was mentioned above. Hello everyone!

Happy to announce that according to the USCIS Case Tracker app, our petition has been APPROVED!

Here is my timeline:

9/28/2015 - I-129f Packet Mailed to Texas Lockbox

10/1/2015 - NOA 1 Email - I-129f sent to California Service Center

10/8/2015 - NOA 1 Hard Copy

10/27/2015 - Approved!

My fiancé and I are very happy and hope everyone else receives their notice soon as well!

Now to open some champaign and celebrate with a 3 hour skype date!

Well I was hoping to celebrate our NOA2 today but still nothing.

I'm feeling sad and very anxious about it but my Fiancé is telling me that it will come and not to worry.

We got our NOA1 Hard Copy two days before I went to visit him. Now he is the one coming to visit me on Monday, so maybe things will repeat and we will get the approval tomorrow. Please send us good vibes!!!

These are the numbers so far for K1 cases received on sep 25:

133 cases received

119 cases with NOA1

14 rejected

2 cases with information adjustments

27 got RFE

49 Approved and got NOA2

41 cases waiting for a result (we are still among these )

There are still 81 K1 cases from sep 24 waiting for results, and 36 cases have been approved from sep 28.

Well that is it for tonight's update.

As a promising sign, today I checked my bank account statement and it looks like the check posted. This is definitely a promising sign as it shows that they at least opened the package and it is not floating in limbo somewhere.
