You can buy tickets but don't buy them till you have an appointment for CFO. Some timeslots are out 2-4 weeks. Be sure to check and confirm your appointment. It's much quicker and easier to do the CFO in Cebu if that is more convenient. No appointment necessary first come first serve in Cebu. If you buy your tickets give yourself a few days afterwards to insure she did not have any problems where she would have to return.

Hey guys, I have a question about DS-160.

I found a small error on our DS-160, but we have already sent our P3 back to the embassy.

I've researched, since we did not schedule our interview yet, it seems like I can refill a new DS-160 and give them the new Application ID, what do you guys think?

You can create as many DS-160's up to the day you have your interview BUT you must have the confirmation page with the bar code of the one that you will use at the interview .

So it doesn't matter that he already sent the "old" DS-160 confirmation back to embassy with P3 packet? He can just bring the new confirmation with bar code on it to the interview then? Do we need to tell the embassy ahead of time that I am bringing a new one?

Just bring another one with you that is corrected. No need to tell them ahead of time. Also, mistakes can be corrected at the interview when you are in front of the CO. They usually will change it.

There is a way to go back in and update the one you submitted; follow these directions.

Check how many days have gone by since you submitted the original application. If it is less than 30 days, go back to the "Apply for a Nonimmigrant Visa" page of the State Department website. Click the tab for “Retrieve an Application.” You will be asked to enter your application ID number. Next, the system will ask whether you want to go to the confirmation page or create a new application. Select create a new application, and your whole application will appear, except the part about your travel plans to the United States. At that point, you can edit and update the information and submit it once again. You will be given a new confirmation and bar code.

Let us know if this worked as information can change.

Yes, that is exactly what I did. And I got a new Application ID.

But I've already sent an email to the IV unit at Guangzhou asking what I should do at this point, ehh, did I do too much....?

Your fine. Relax and wait for their response. Either way, bring the correct confirmation page with you to the interview. They are not going to deny you on this little mistake. Tons of people have problems with that document and so your not alone.

Hi J&Y, would you mind sharing what documents the GZ consulate requested from your Fiancee in P3? We were only asked to provide the DS160, a scan of her passport information page and two passport style photos.

Sure, sounds the same though, they asked for confirmation page of the DS160, copy of personal info page of the passport, and two 50x50mm photo.

He sent them back on Sunday, and GZ received on Monday 1/11/16, so now I am waiting for the P4, I think they email the P4 now.
