congratz!!!! also what does cfo stand for?

CFO IS Commission on Filipino's Overseas. It's a requirement of the Filipino Government to educate each Female who is traveling abroad for work or immigrating to another country because of a pending marriage and or if they married (to immigrate to be with their husband) and traveling for the first time to a foreign country. They are instructed about who to contact with an emergency, an abusive spouse or human trafficking situations. It's mandatory for the Philippines and most times not a requirement for other country's. The Philippines is a high human trafficking country and the CFO is used to help educate the woman on what to expect. Many are marrying and leaving their family behind to move to a new country for the first time. Some are very venerable to human trafficking because of their innocents.

Congratulations. Getting a 221(g) as she did is not a big deal. It will slow you down maybe 2-3 weeks from final approval. Just follow the instructions on the 221(g) for the return of the NBI. Be sure to double check my guide on NBI's so that you know just what your are applying for. Can't get through the gatekeeper without all AKA's searched.

Very happy that you have gotten this far and that you are so close.

We followed the instructions in your website about aka in nbi clearance.. It was the nbi who made a mistake. They put her last name first, followed by her name, then followed by her ex husbands name then her mother's maiden name. It should've been first name, maiden name then her ex's last name. I'm blaming myself also coz i did not pay attention with her nbi clearance. Anyways, thank you so much greenbaum for your help! I was lost in the dark when i filed the petition until i came accross your website! We will post our journey about k-1 with foreign divorce once she get the visa! Happy Holidays!

It's always frustrating when the "professional" doesn't execute their job properly and you pay.

Congrats!!!

How did you find out? Through calling NVC, checking CEAC or the USCIS app?

We called NVC last Friday and then I traced the package with DHL

Any reason why you have to wait? Maybe head over to the Embassy website that you will process through and read up on the requirements if you have not done so already. You might find a way to speed things up and not wait. We processed through and learned that we could save 2 months processing time if we took control of our process. Maybe you can do the same.

Check in with the Germany sub-forum for additional help.

I gathered all documents but I need to include the checklist that they send over, so I need to wait until I get the letter by the embassy...

Glad you have your answer. It's been my experience that each Embassy is different on how they process their visa's so asking in a forum like this tends to have an answer not in keeping with your Embassy's requirements. Stay connected to your Embassy's website and their instructions and you should do just fine.
