Don't buy a flight ticket, sell real property or resign from any job till you have your visa in hand. Delays do happen and we have seen where someone hasn't heeded this advice and had to spend more money then necessary to fix the oversight.

It will take 7 - 10 days business for NVC to receive your file from USCIS after you receive the NOA2, then another 2 - 5 business days for NVC to get your file in there system and get the case # from

Each Embassy is different in their requirements. Like what I have said before, what is required in Russia may not be the same for Australia, Canada or the Japanese Embassy's. Always check your Embassy to see what the actual requirements are. Also the best place to ask questions specific to your Embassy is in the sub-forum for your country.

Having to reproduce a document for London, if it is a requirement, should be followed.

Hi everyone!

We got our case number and Invoice ID from NVC, but not yet the hardcopy... What should be next step? I am the beneficiary, should I complete DS-160 right now? Or it's supposed to wait for the embassy letter with some kind of instructions? Paris Embassy website doesn't add much information on how to proceed at this stage...

I appreciate your help! Good luck for all of us!

We got our NOA2!! Just checked the USCIS website and the status finally changed to approved! Yay :joy::joy:

October 13, 2015: Sent package to Texas lockbox

October 15, 2015: Tracking said package delivered

October 16, 2015: USCIS received package

October 20, 2015: NOA1 E-notification

October 27, 2015: Received hardcopy of NOA1. Notice date October 20

November 30, 2015: Case status changed to approved!

Hey guys! Been a while! I just got our Case# and Invoice # today. I just called my Fiancée and told her to get the slip and pay immediately so we can get the interview scheduled Asap. Special thanks again to Greenbaum. I'm following your step by step link man!

Oh btw I found a great way to get busy and not to think about this too much.. I applied for a CCW permit so I'm busy with all the trainings and requirements at the moment ha! ^_^
