What are we supposed to say when we call? I recall seeing that we need the USC name and b-day and the beneficiaries name and b-day, plus your USCIS case number I guess? Anything else?

Is it weird for the beneficiary to be the one calling? My fiance works full time so he won't be available to call but I work in the evenings so I can spam them.

It will take 7 - 10 days business for NVC to receive your file from USCIS after you receive the NOA2, then another 2 - 5 business days for NVC to get your file in there system and get the case # from USEM. Call 7:00am eastern time for shorter wait times K1's are not tracked through the AVR, ever. They are processed like an immigrant visa, but they are NOT immigrant visas, so they fall into a completely different class of their own. Therefore you need an operator. To get there:

1-603-334-0700 or 603-334-0888. Operator assistance is available Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 AM (Eastern Time)

Press 5 for non-immigrant visa K-1 visa.

E-mail: NVCInquiry@state.gov I highly recommend you email NVC for the MNL #, even if you call and get it, this will give you a correspondence from NVC with the MNL # for future reference. MNL is the code for the US Embassy in Manila, Philippines. I probably neglected to remove that and make it generic seeing as you and others are using different Embassy's. Just substitute your code for Mexico and move on with the other details as laid our in my answer.

Do you know what's the deal with immunization for k1 applicants from the Philippines? What if the applicant doesn't have any vaccination at all? Do we need to go to the doctors ahead of time to get it all done or will the medical at st lukes take care of them all? Any experience you can share?

I got my hard copy of my NOA2 today. It says valid from 11/10/15 to 3/9/16. What does that March date actually mean? Does my fiance need to be here by then? That seems unrealistic. Does he need to interview prior to that date?

Received my NOA2 original copy on Saturday (11/14). It says it's valid until November 2016 later next week I shall call NVC to see if I have any luck

Ours is also valid until March 2016 (Our NOA2 notice date is November 5).

According to VJ statistics, we might get our interview in the consulate by the end of January. I'm planning to move as soon as I get the Visa, so no issues with the expiration date of the NOA2.

I have read that you can get an extension, but not really sure how that works.

All vaccinations are including in the SLEC fee. No need to see a private Doctor as all are given at the time of the medical exam at SLEC.
