Hi everyone!

I just want to ask if anyone knows how and where can I exchange my Philippine pesos to US dollar here in Nashville, Tennessee? I can't seem to find a place to exchange it. Thank you so much in advance! :)

Nashville Airport at the ticketing level. Look for SunTrust Bank and I think there may be one other bank that changes currency.

I haven't tried to go there. I will try soon. I hope they do Philippine pesos. Thank you so much! Appreciate it. :)

ANY bank can do this but you must go to the main branch

I have checked Bank of America, so far, and I think I should have an account with them for me to be able to exchange foreign currency to usd. I have an account with a smaller bank and they do not do current exchange there. I will try to check with others. Thank you so much.

The airports will rip you off, even in America. It is best to go to a bank.

Yea, that's what I've heard. I just can't seem to find a bank that does it. Do you think Western Union does currency exchange? Thank you. Appreciate it! :)

Have you simply tried going to the lobby of your US bank and depositing the pesos? By lobby I mean one of the branch managers, not a teller.

Before i left for PI in February, i went to my local Bank of America and ordered the currency. It took a day or two. S450.00 cost me a $5 fee. The bills were brand new too!

I did go to the bank and talked to someone, but I don't think that she was the bank manager. I just asked if they do the currency exchange, and she said they don't. I will ask again. It seems its a lot complicated to do it here than in the Ph. lol. Thank you!

That's great! I hope you had a great time in Ph! :)

I am wanting to exchange my Philippine pesos to US dollars. I have discovered that I need to have an account (debit/credit) with BOA for me to be able to do it. Our only account with them is the mortage.

Thank you!

When I got home for PI, I filled out a deposit slip, they did the currency exchange and put the amount on the slip. Then put the pesos in the back. This is my local TD Bank branch.

SunTrust at the airport is a bank - not a private exchange service. Have you compared exchange rates between SunTrust Bank at Nashville airport and other banks or exchange services - which seemingly don't exist in Nashville?

Sure, the bank service is compensated, but unless you have a significant amount of cash, the difference will be of little consequence to you. Running all over town will cost you more than just going to the airport and exchanging your money. Even in America. ha ha
