Is X ray CD required at POE for K1 immigrants

My Fiance had the interview today and she was APPROVED!! One quick question for you guys, Was the Xray CD required at your POE? My fiance took her Xray CD with her to the embassy, security guys told her she should be fine but later in line they said that they will have to open the Xray CD which said DO NOT OPEN. They opened it and let her go in, interview was completed and she was approved but now she is freaking out about the X ray CD case which is now open.

I heard that in 99% of time they never even ask for that. :) Also our XRay CD was not even fully closed, just a disk given in a paper thing. Don't stress over it. :)

07.22.2015 - Interview. 2 hours worth of waiting and 5 minutes worth of talking to the consul, "your visa is approved". Yaaay!
10.09.2015 - POE in Boston, MA. Hooray!! Welcome, my love.

10.14.2015 - applied for SSN; got it a couple days later in the mail
10.31.2015 - Wedding :halloween:
11.21.2015 - Filed AOS (package including Travel Parole & Employment)

12.18.2015 - RFE (forgot to write my name in one place on the Affidavit of Support)

12.23.2015 - RFE Response received by USCIS

02.10.2016 - EAD/AP approved!

02.10.2016 - EAD/AP received!

05.12.2016 - Interview scheduled for 06.15.2016 (wow, that really took 6 months from filing...)

06.15.2016 - Interview. Approved! (but not at the interview, got notification about 4 hours later)

06.30.2016 - Green Card Received!

they are more concerned with the sealed packet that you receive from the embassy upon recipt of your visa. They never asked my wife for the CD, as I am glad they didn't as ours was inside the checked bag...lol

The Xray CD is yours to keep. It is not needed for anything.

The Xray CD is yours to keep. It is not needed for anything.

I believe you are incorrect.

http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/interview/after.html states:

"X-rays – Must be hand-carried with you, not packed in your luggage."

However, says nothing about them needing to be sealed, so it really should be fine.. as long as you have it with you!

From personal experience, and I have done this twice already, the X-ray CD is never asked for. My wife still has her sealed X-ray CD in a folder with her other immigration documents.

The CD is basically just a souvenir of your medical exam.

You could smash it right now and no one would care. Use it as a cup coaster, see how far you can throw it over the ocean, do whatever....no one will ever ask you for it. Well not you, but op.
