On 03/23, I received text and email notification that my oath ceremony had been scheduled.

I received the letter today, for scheduled oath ceremony on 04/20. (Judicial Oath)

Yikes! My wife is processing for US Citizenship through Orlando, FL... I see your Oath was 3 months after your interview. Is there any way to take your Oath sooner? I'm hoping for no more than 2 to 3 weeks to wait for the oath. I'm going to be working in Italy starting in August, and I would like her to be read in for her US Citizenship definitely before then so she can come live with me there ASAP.

It would be much quicker (maybe within 2 weeks after approved interview) for administrative oath ceremony at USCIS. I requested a name change, so it would be much longer for Judicial Oath Ceremony at Orlando Courthouse, since they only hold judicial oath once a month in Orlando.

Had my interview this morning at the Dallas Office ( Irving) and after was advised that they were recommending my application be approved. So now the wait for the Oath Ceremony.

Interview went easy, just remember what you answered and you will be fine.

Was asked to Read 'Who Lives in the White House' and write ' The President lives in the White House'

Questions asked :

What are two Cabinet-level positions?

What are two rights in the Declaration of Independence?

What is the supreme law of the land?

Where is the Statue of Liberty?

What are the two parts of the U.S. Congress?

When was the Constitution written?

Whole process took around 20 minutes.

Recommend you bring a set of passport photos, I was asked for new ones as apparently the set I sent was too small

Hi everyone,

It has been almos 7 months since I did my fingerprints and I haven't heard back from USCIS. I checked the timeline from Chicago cases and it says they are processing July 28 but most of my classmates and the people in this thread almost everyone finished except one or two and one of them is me. I received my Oath Date - unfortunately for 2 days before I go to the Caribbean on vacation. I've therefore done as per the instructions and returned the N-445 with an explanation and requested a new Oath date after I return to the US. I could have taken the risk of trying to get a passport office appointment for the day after the Oath Ceremony and go for a same-day emergency passport issuance, but I decided that was putting too many variables into the equation - last thing I need is to be without both my new passport and my Green Card on the day of my vacation flight! I'll post updates when I receive a new date for those who may be in the same situation sometime.....

Received my rescheduled Oath Date N-445 today (April 11). Oath is scheduled for April 20 (Chicago). I returned the original N-445 on March 14 by mail (original Oath Date was March 22) and requested a new date after April 6 to make sure I was clear of my vacation - and it worked just fine. Website was updated on April 8 to say a new date had been sent out - although I did not receive a confirmation email or text message - I presume because USCIS don't class a reschedule date as a new step in the process.

Had interview for me and my wife today at San Jose office.

The officer went over my N400 application, mostly confirming the information on the application. He asked for my permanent resident card, driver’s license and all passports though he did not check the passports. Asked if I pay taxes, how long I was outside, have any record with police etc. Btw. the officer did not take any paperwork from me.

He asked me to read a sentence which I do not remember but he asked me to write "we pay taxes to the united states government".

Question(s):

What is freedom of religion?
Name one state that borders Canada?
How many U.S. Senators are there?
What ocean is on the East Coast of the United States?
When was the Constitution written?
When must all men register for the Selective Service?

The officer was pretty friendly. However

The officer gave me form N652 and told me that I passed the English & history test and that I should receive the oath letter in 3 weeks. On the N-652 form the 2 things that were checked were 1) "you passed the tests of English and us history and government". 2) "USCIS will send you a written decision about your application".

He further went on and said that my case is fine. He just needs to review it once more later in the day . He also gave me packet with oath ceremony instruction(s) and application for visa.

My wife's experience was opposite, they took her printouts for last 2 year of taxes, copy of GC/DL.

Question(s) for wife:

What is the name of the Speaker of the House of Representatives now?
When was the Declaration of Independence adopted?

When was the Constitution written?
How many amendments does the Constitution have?

My wife received N-652 with Congratulations! Your application has been recommended for approval. At this time, it appears that you have established your eligibility for naturalization. If final approval i granted you will be notified when and where to report for the oath ceremony. they told her that she should be hearing from them in 1 week for the oath.
